When my mom made her plans to come and see us for almost 2 weeks I kept the panic at bay by thinking that I would just keep her too busy with Jessica to annoy me too much. When my mom was about 2 weeks out from her visit here I decided to change my thinking and really pray that God would heal our relationship and give me the kind of mother and daughter relationship that I have yearned for. To make a long story short God answers prayers. Our visit was great. For the first time since I moved out here I was sad to see my mom leave. I have actually talked to my mom every day since she has been gone and it is wonderful.

This is wonderful! God did some mighty work here, and you both are blessed! Thanks for making yourself available in God to your mom; God used it.

If weeds are from the Curse, and they come up in every crack, how much more will God's blessings come to us, through the cracks and everywhere. And how cool is it that God has done a work with you and your mom. Just, wow.

thanks, that is sweet. I am so happy to be able to talk with my mom without the strain I used to have. I prayed that God would let me see past the history I had with my mom and let me see her for who she is now. I prayed that I would not be offended by what she did years and years ago when she was just trying to help me now.
I was totally blown away when I was talking with my mom and enjoying myself. She told me one evening that in past years she had some personality traits that she was not proud of but she was trying to work though them. She said she hoped she was doing much better. It sounds like I was not the only one God was working on[:D]
