ORIGINAL: noblesinger Currently, 21 - 7 is the score of the day in the 2 games I'm watching: WVU vs. Louisville and OSU vs. "The Really Hated School Up North." They used to be known only as the "hated school up north" to Buckeye fans everywhere, but when RichRod pulled his little disappearing act back in December, they moved up to "really hated" status. The Buckeyes have scored all of their TD's on plays of 40+ yards; in fact, their last drive was 91 yards in only 2 plays! Also, Pat White and Noel Devine have come up with plays of 50+ yards. This is turning out, so far, to be a good day for big plays. I can't wait to see the Texas Tech - OU game tonight! It is going to be huge!! Duane Glad to be of service old friend. Lood forward to the Bucks continuing to beat up on coach Rod many years into the future. How bout them Buckeyes!!! I was at the game and let me tell you, it was coooooold. Brrrrr. Anyhew, both teams seemed to struggle early. I am just glad OSU was able to run up the score on coach Rod. After UM tried to kick that short field goal they missed, the kicker tried to practice at half time to make adjustments but he was just as aweful during practice as he was during the game. Then the fans would jeer UM every time UM had a fourth down as they would yell, "Kick a field goal, why not kick a field goal!!" What great fun that was!!

HeeHaaaww! Hook'em Horns!!!! The Tide MUST be Auburn. Can't afford a loss at this point for sure. Going into the SEC champ game with a loss would be a huge factor. But we will prevail and the Crimson Tide will win the SEC!!!!! DRain the swamp and EAT MORE GATOR!!!!!!

well Bama just decimated Auburn. Florida had no problem. Texas Tech did not show me nothing. Big 12 is falling apart

I do believe Alabama will beat Florida but it will not be a blowout. for Florida to win Tebow better have his arm ready cause he will lose his head to try and run on this defense. Alabama is maybe a bit shaky in secondary but the from 7 are solid. with Cody near 100% the d line is back and ready.

Florida has run on some pretty good defensive lines this year. Their balance is what is so remarkable. Tebow can throw, and he has a stable of receivers that can get to the ball and catch it. It should be a really good game, and I believe the Gators can come out on top.

this is college ball and anyone can come out on top. but I still think this is the beginning of the era of Saban. have already been checking out the recruits Bama is got verbal commitments from and they are solid. but back to this game. JPW is on then Bama will win. have the RB's to handle the game, a solid recieving core, best O line in SEC, defense is solid. Florida will be the toughest opponet Bama will face this year hands down. contrary to the media, SEC championship game will be the BCS championship game because after last few weeks, Big 12 hasnt impressed me at all. it also is game of year, forget the Oklahoma-Tech game and Tech-Texas also. SEC has shown they are the dominate conference. and this year will be another notch in the belt of SEC as the premiere powerhouse conference.

Florida will destroy Alabama by 4 touchdowns. The only team in America with the defense to stop Florida is USC, and due to the joke that is the BCS SC won't get that chance. SC and Texas or OU would be fun to watch.

ORIGINAL: SamsonUSA I would ask the same question of Alabama. It's easy to make that statement on the surface seeing how Clemson, LSU and Georgia ended up. But then one must look at the conference they play in as a whole and not the absolute joke that is the Pac-10. I could be 10-2 or 11-1 every season if I played against mediocre teams every week. Even if the SEC is 'down' this year it beats the pants off a one-team conference.

ORIGINAL: SamsonUSA I would ask the same question of Alabama. come play in a real conference and lets see a team dominate year in and year out. I will never respect USC until they have a conference that is a powerhouse. to me until then they will always be second rate. fans that love the game as a whole and forgets the love the media gives because they win hopefully look past bias and agree. I am not saying that because Alabama is number 1 and Florida 2. *least was last time saw cause havent checked polls this a.m.* SEC is strongest conference overall. this year Big 12 has some teams but to me they are still lacking but they finding it out how tough the SEC is yearly. everyone beats everyone. if you TRUELY followed college ball and watched all conferences, you would respect the fact that a team going unbeaten in SEC has earned the respect of the nation. shows because USC is a 1 loss team and yet they are no where near even having a shot at the national title. BCS is figured on schedule strength. pac 10 is weak and not worthy of the SEC, Big 12 type of respect. I dont even have Big 10 in it. and yes i know next year USC will again be picked to win it all. yet they dont prove themselves. Respect is earned not given and USC hasn't earned my respect.

and before go saying I said respect remark only because Bama is number 1. Florida, Texas, Oklahoma have earned it. Texas Tech as well although they can't hang with Ok. but a good statement made on espn.com today. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=3734094 it said "Alabama has the necessary ingredients -- a stifling, physical defense and a punishing, ball-control offense -- to slow the Gators down." my fave quote on this game coming up "the Gators haven't seen a team as strong or menacing as the Crimson Tide."

I have to agree and hope that it happens, Florida beating "Bama that is. I think all the FSU Seminole players and coaches would agree. Florida played an awesome game in awful conditions yesterday. Tim Tebow seemed to revel in the rain and mud. He had his best performance to date, along with the rest of the Gators, even with the first half loss of our best player next to Tebow (Harvin). Bobby Bowden was most gracious and complimentary of the Gators, especially Tebow. I take nothing away from Alabama and their record this year, and I know the football can bounce in some strange ways, but if Florida plays two more games like they have the last seven, I believe they will be national champs this year. And, by the way, Tim Tebow should win the Heisman again!

Florida wont run on Bama and with Harvin out, Florida will need some serious help stepping up. Harvin would not win it one way or the other for them, but they need him at 100%. as for Tebow and Heisman, he is the best leader on the field but I believe Bradford is going to take it this year. or McCoy. but i would and i hate to say this as i despise OU, Bradford win it. he is solid and not a braggard. which honestly, TeBow and McCoy isnt either. wow. this might be a spoiler year in that race as too many great QB's in running

Take out Florida and the SEC is the ACC, a group of average teams that beat each other and claim that they play great defense just because all of their offenses stink. It is truly unfortunate that Oregon St didn't beat Oregon and earn a Rose Bowl berth so that USC could go to the Sugar Bowl and beat Alabama even worse than Florida will next weekend.

Looks like Tennessee is hiring Lane Kiffin, late of the Oakland Maiders, to replace Phil Fulmer. Speculation is he will bring his dad along as defensive coordinator. Seems a big gamble given Kiffin's lack of head coaching experience.
