I don't necessarily agree. PS does some P&W, but they are done in a style that totally agrees with this SG lover. I think they incorporated several styles very well; and I don't see the need for them to choose one over the other. On the contrary, it made for a very fresh, enjoyable concert.

PSQ will be appearing at an outdoor fall festival on a Friday evening at a town near me in a couple of weeks. I hope it works out for us to go. I was always a PSQ fan, having seen them with several different lineups, and would like to hear this new one. I have talked to Kerry Beatty and to Woody a few times over the years. They are nice folks. I wish PSQ well.

Probably same as a lot of other groups: If they aren't singing, it is a very expensive week, without much to show for it. More and more groups are opting not to go. Sad.

I just happen to like Southern gospel the best and have no time for P&W music...I just believe that they will find that they must go in one direction or the other.

This is exactly what boggles my mind and makes me feel like I'm the only one out there that enjoys all facets of Godly music. The mindset of "either this or that" confuses me.

There are some SG songs that I don't like. There are some P&W songs that I don't like. There are some "gospel" songs that I don't like. There are some Gospel bluegrass songs that I don't like.

I applaud a group who wants to mix it up and present several facets of music in one concert.

I'm a weirdo.

Nope and you are not alone. Although I prefer Southern Gospel in the traditional way I have varied taste in music and find some in about any genre I love.

PSQ was here last evening in concert and did a good job. The entire concert was straight Southern Gospel. It seemed to take a little while for the group to connect with their audience however once KC took the mic all the walls came down and PSQ "had the audience in their hand." Woody was with the group and they featured him in the second half on a couple of songs which delighted the crowd. After previously not knowing what to expect, I was please with their performance and how they availed themselves to the crowd following the service. For nearly an hour after the concert the entire group hung out around their table talking and visiting with everyone. I saw NO ONE leave to go to the bus, or start packing equipment until everybody was finished visiting. Overall it was a very successful evening that I found enjoyable as a promoter!

They were in our area this past Friday evening, but I did not get in from the field with enough time or energy left to clean up and go. I always liked them and would like to see their new lineup.
