I've come to the conclusion that I can't be saved. I've read my Bibles until I broke the spine on one, and I can quote them probably nearly as well as any minister (for one thing, the demons "believe" in Christ, and shudder). I've read Bonhoeffer, Lewis, Chambers, Lucado, Swindoll, on and on and on. But I know there are three definite things I have done that might qualify as the unforgivable. And that is the only explanation why, after so many years and years of studying the Bible, praying and even fasting, that I have no peace. I feel disassociated from other Believers in church. I can't sleep ("fear"). I was abused, though how I hate that word, severely as I was growing up but it was very cliche: sexually, verbally, etc. But that's not the common factor in the equation of more than forty-four years of my life. Every time, and I mean every single - EVERY SINGLE - time I start to "feel" close to God, something horrific happens. While I realize and am quite thankful for the fact that God is not an emotion, the common factor in the equation is that every time I almost have peace something or a combination of somethings happens: financial disaster, a health disaster, a relationship disaster, and so on. So my conclusion is that I'm Saul: rejected. I had the chance to be saved and blew it, and I have spent the rest of my life chasing God but He will never accept me now. Where do I go from here? Just fall on my sword and get it over with?

Oh, good night! No! It looks to me like you have sought after G-d, reading His book. But you seem frustrated. What are you looking for in G-d? A good feeling? That may not occur, because feelings can be related to many things, most of which are not G-d, but you know that. Are you expecting the proverbial "peace and joy and happiness"? That may not happen either, and you know that, too.

You are in a difficult situation, as I read in your other post. Difficult times certainly affect how and what we feel, but all the hype about feelings, if you have heard/read about that, is just that -- hype. Now, admittedly, when G-d touches my life, I do have strong feelings, but that should not be the measure of things. I know plenty of good, strong believers who did not have feelings, who took His salvation based upon knowledge and the understanding that He is G-d, they simply took Him at His word.

You've read about Thomas. He was skeptical about Messiah rising again, and he treated the matter with what appears to be disdain, not even being there when Messiah breathed on His disciples, telling them to receive the H Spirit. But when Messiah faced him, Thomas knew and called Him G-d. Messiah never disputed him. Thomas knew -- he understood with his heart and mind. The book of Acts lests us know that G-d received him.

There are others here wiser than I who will write, too, I am sure. Just keep yourself in that place in which you remain willing toward G-d. I am praying for you. There is nothing too hard for our G-d, and he says that G-d is a spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in spirit and in truth. Worship is a way of life, Click. Is your life an act of worship before the Almighty?

I don't know what the unforgivable sin is . But bad things happen to everyone some worse than others I know. We just need to keep trusting God through these and know that no matter what happens God loves us and we have a great eternity waiting for us if we can trust in God and His love He showed us by giving us salvation through Jesus.

No one goes to hell because of their sins, they go because of their sin, that's singular. And sin is unbelief. The sin of the world is unbelief. Christ's shed blood on the cross provided forgiveness for all sins, thats plural. His sacrifice is sufficient or all people, for all time.

Forgiving unbelief accomplishes nothing, the only solution to unbelief...is belief. Unbelief does not need to be forgiven...it needs to be corrected. This is why it is called the unforgivable sin. It is impossible for a believer to commit the unforgivable sin because, by definition, they are a Believer. Likewise, it is impossible for an unbeliever to be made a believer by having their unbelief forgiven, because they still continue in their unbelief.

You do not have to chase after God, it is He who is chasing after you. He stands at the door of your heart knocking, but He will not force Himself on you. Christ rejects no one. It is we who reject Him.

Natural mans problem is that he is dead and the only thing a dead man needs is life...

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus Christ is God's free gift to mankind, and in Him is forgiveness of sins and life, eternal life. The only solution to mans problem is Jesus Christ, because Christ alone has the life that we need. Jesus is only as far away as you want Him to be. It is His desire to be in you, living His life in and through you, living the life you cannot, but that He can.

Jesus Christ died for you, to give Himself to you, so that He can live His life through you.

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Click, sometimes we just need to get off our own back.

If we remember There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13),
then we know we are not alone in our troubles. We may not know them but someone somewhere else has felt the same way.

God is more kind and gracious than anyone else. My Bible still says "whosoever will" in a number of places and that includes all of us.

For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
(Mark 3:35)

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
(Matthew 10:32)

Also, we come to God as He draws us to Him: No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44)

As far as for what we do when we "mess up"...If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

What you are experiencing is an attack by the adversary, the devil, designed to keep you away. If you continue this line of thought, he will have succeeded. Do not let him win in your life. Press into God, keep reading the bible, and find a good church home where they teach and live the Word.

If you are a "Saul," make it like the Saul of Tarsus (the apostle Paul) that was a pawn of the devil for the destruction of the church but became its biggest ally and wrote most of the New Testament.

You are whosoever. And I am whosoever. Either God's Word is true or it isn't. And it's not dependent on a feeling. And it's not dependent on what's going on in our lifes. He is who He is. And His word is true. So if you truely believe in your heart, nothing can take that away from you.

Sometimes we have to go through some very hard times. And satan wants us to doubt. Don't give in to satan. Trust in the Lord. He says all things work to the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Thats whosoever. Thats you. Thats me.

First, let me give you a hug, Click: (Hug). I accept you into the fellowship of believers and so does God. People who commit the unforgiveable sin don't want God, because we only want Him if He draws us to Him. Spiritually dead people can't respond to God because they are dead (Next time you see a dead person, tell him to get up and see what happens).

Look at what the Bible says about trials: rejoice in them -it's something God uses in the lives of His sons and daughters. God chastens us to help us grow, like a father chastens the son whom he loves so he'll grow up straight and tall. Look at these, and rejoice:

Deuteronomy 8:5
You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.

3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:


“ My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,
Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.” Deuteronomy 8:5

7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Hebrews 6

Thank God for making you His, and ask Him to help you strengthen your faith and deal with the trials. Keep in your Bible every day and dig out the promises and instructions like a gold mine. God knows we all are weak and He helps us; much of the help is between the pages of the Bible, but some of it is in the fellowship of other believers and sometimes He just helps you think things through.

Isn't it better to belong to God and have problems than to not belong to God and have things easy? Because we have problems either way, really. But we have His help, and we cry out to Him and He answers (not always in the way we think He will or when He will, so don't put God in a box. Wait on Him, and rejoice).

Rise up and conquer life, Christian! You are on God's side and He loves you. So do I. (((Hugs)))

In response, let me first point out that from a historic perspective the Pharisees mentioned by Matthew militantly hated Jesus and attributed His miracles to Beelzebub, the prince of demons.

Unlike those who are afraid they have committed the unforgivable sin, the Pharisees were totally unconcerned about Christ's forgiveness. Instead, with premeditation and persistence, they willfully blasphemed the Holy Spirit's testimony that Christ was the Son of the living God. It is crucial to recognize that the unforgivable sin is not a single act but a continuous, ongoing rejection leading to dying having rejected the grace of God.

Furthermore, those who have committed the unpardonable sin have no godly regrets. As the apostle Paul emphasizes in the book of Romans, they not only continue in their evil ways but approve of others who do so as well (Romans 1:32).

Conversely, "godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation" (2 Corinthians 7:10). Sorrow for sin and the desire for Christ's forgiveness is proof positive that you have not rejected the Savior of your soul.

Never forget that three times Peter denied his Lord with vile oaths. Yet, Jesus not only forgave him, but his confession, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16) became the cornerstone of the Christian church.

Finally, the Bible consistently teaches that those who spend eternity separated from God do so because they willingly, knowingly, and continuously reject the gospel.

John refers to this as the "sin that leads to death" (1 John 5:16) in the sense that those who refuse forgiveness through Christ will spend eternity separated from His grace and love.

Be assured that those who sincerely desire God's forgiveness can be absolutely certain that they will never be turned away.

I've read your post, but this part stood out to me. According to this you've come to a conclusion that cannot be supported by scripture. Everyone CAN be saved. All that can keep you from being saved is a lack of belief that God does indeed love you.

Dear Click, the Bible never says that once a man is saved his life will be a bed of roses. On the contrary we are warned that many trials and tribulations will come to us. It is these trails that shape us and help us to get closer to God. I've been through many tough moments and though I wish never to go through them again, I realize that these moments have allowed me to grow spiritually and to know God more. These moments were a blessing to me. They have built my character, my strength in Him, my courage, my patience, my self-control, my faith in Him. It is in the fire that the gold is refined. It is in the fire that God refines us. Praise the Lord!

I don’t believe you’re damned. You’re just one of us poor slobs that God has decided to reach down and save. The fact that the Hound of Heaven keeps hounding you is only proof that you’re nearer salvation than you could have ever dreamed. Each time God draws you by conviction (have you noticed that he has not let you go?) he tests you. If you can quote Scripture as well as any minister then you are familiar with the many passages that confirm that God disciplines his children through trials, not to test what he is doing through his sovereign will, but to reveal to you that no matter what the world throws at you, your faith will stand. These things you speak of are not curses but a blessings…trust in him.

I'll write this to try and encourage. But I'm imperfect, so my message below will be also.

If we ask Jesus for forgiveness, the Bible tells us Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. We can act on that knowledge even if our belief is week. Sure we may be very imperfect at doing so. The door to complete forgiveness is open to you. I'll write it a second time: the door to forgiveness is open to you!

I've been told life with Jesus might in ways be similar to a bunch of people thrown onto a commercial airplane. (Where the airplane is like Jesus' salvation plane.) Its as if some persons are flying along and enjoying the flight like many do who fly. Some are sipping on the orange juice, watching the movie, kicking back, etc. They are having a grand time. There are sometimes those on the flight who are using the barf bag, who feel sick, who spend extra time in the bathroom. But, all of the passengers on Jesus' salvation flight still arrive at the same destination.

So, yeh, I have been told the Bible teaches God's mercy is infinite.

And, the Bible teaches us we are to be totally forgiving with others in our lives. I have been told the Bible teaches God does a much better job at forgiving than we. I have been taught this type of thing: God always outpaces us in mercy. So we could never "out-mercy" God.

I have been told the Bible teaches forgiveness from Jesus is instantaneous on the spiritual level. So, when one asks Jesus for forgiveness, Jesus forgives us instantly after we ask for it from Him.

However, I have also been told the Bible teaches, the consequences we face in this world are not removed instantly. Sometimes the consequences we face for our actions are not removed in this life. So consequences are very real. And, there is also plenty of garbage that happens to God's children (and others) in this life just because we live in a "fallen world" (or a world full of persons who have turned their back on God). So sometimes things happen to us that are not good, and sometimes we didn't have much to do with it.

The things I was told, which I mention above, were communicated to me by other Christians who I trust and who have "good spiritual fruit" in their lives.

Remember, Satan is 100% evil. There is no good in him. He is also known as the deciever. So he and his forces are trying hard to make us believe things that are false. Satan is limited though! The trouble he causes is real. But, Jesus can deal with whatever Satan can throw at you. Just keep tracking along with Jesus as best you can. He can pull You through.

Have you thought about talking to a pastor, or some Christian you trust who is qualified to have some discussions with you on this?

After you ask God to forgive you, you can forgive yourself. Its really OK to forgive yourself. Its not always easy for me to forgive myself, but I keep having to work on that.

If you had committed the unforgivable sin, I very much doubt you would have come onto this website and placed this post here.

God's peace to you. Dear God please send this person more peace from You even if it ends up seeming to take an awful long time to kick in.

Do you recall Joseph? He was feeling close to God and life was going along just great.

Then his brothers beat him, stripped him of his clothing completely humiliating him, and sold him. He was physically and emotionally hurt incredibly bad by the people he loved the most.

And where was God in all this? Was he just watching on the sidelines, amused? No way! God may not stop all bad things from happening, but he certainly doesn't condone it. A very bad thing happened to this boy, and God used it to shape him into the man he wanted him to be. Joseph went on to become a gracious ruler of a pegan people and brought God to their lives.

Ask yourself this.
-What can you do to change the things that have already happened? What power do you have to change things past?

You are pretty powerless in that area. You can not change things that have already happened.

Now ask yourself this.
-How much power does God have to change you, and what is about to happen next?

That is where the possibility lies.

Dear one, you are precious to God. We are ALL sinners. That's why Jesus died such a horrible death so that He could free us ALL from the bondage of sin.

I too was abused ~ sexually ~ as a child. I know how hard it is to TRUST after all that. My thoughts are that maybe you should let go of the "head knowledge" and let God heal your heart. Trust God, in your heart, to save you ~ THAT IS CALLED FAITH. It's not easy for those of us who have been abused to give ourselves to someone else, but believe me Jesus KNOWS ~ He UNDERSTANDS ~ He CARES. He also knows where your heart is. He won't hurt you or abuse you. You can trust Him with your very life.

The damage that is done from abuse runs deeper than perhaps we realize. Your heart is screaming out for peace ~ I know what that feels like ~ I found it In Christ BUT only after healing from the abuse. I don't know but Maybe a counselor is in order? Anyway, it needs to be dealt with. This could be the center of all your confusion and you don't even know it. It was that way with me for 28 years.

Oh, Click, come back to your thread and read all the encouragement you've been given!

I also want to encourage you. I myself was once afraid that I either had committed or would commit the unpardonable sin. I was so terrified of it that I wanted to die because I was afraid that continuing to live meant continuation of the chance I'd sin to the point I'd be eternally rejected.

But I wasn't rejected. That's how I know that you aren't, either.

When I was experiencing the fear, I would accept no encouragement that didn't come directly from Scripture, because I was afraid that if I accepted man's advice without it coming from the Bible, I might feel comforted but in actuality still be lost. So I will give you the Scriptures that comforted me.

People kept telling me that if I had committed the unpardonable sin, I wouldn't care about God anymore at all. I didn't think that was true. Might it not be part of the torment that I would want Him and couldn't get to Him? But I learned from these verses that they were right:

"No one can say 'Jesus is Lord,' except by the Holy Spirit." 2 Cor. 12:3b. On other words, if you can acknowledge that Jesus is Lord, that is proof that the Holy Spirit has not withdrawn Himself.

"No one can come to me unless the Father Who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:44 In other words, you couldn't even be chasing God if He wasn't already chasing you. And why would He chase you if He didn't intend to save you?

These two verses aren't along those lines but they were such a powerful comfort to me that the first time I remember hearing them they brought tears to my eyes, and I didn't even have to try to memorize them. They were just in my head after the first hearing: "As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him; for He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust." "Psalm 103:13-14 God knows the abuse you suffered and understands even better than you do the effect it had on you. He knows, and He is powerful enough to heal you, and wise enough to know just the kind of healing you need.

I was amazed to learn by experience the strength of Jesus' hold on me. It was as though He held me with a cord as strong as a diamond and He wasn't letting me go, even when I myself felt like I was slipping. Have you ever ridden a roller coaster? When you're going down that drop, you feel anything but safe. But those things are engineered to be extremely safe. So it is with your relationship with Jesus. No matter what you feel like, He's got you, and He isn't letting go. Philippians 1:6 says "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ." If bad things start happening when you start to feel close to the Lord, it isn't because He doesn't want you. He will take care of you through them. If you can, this time, hold on to Him through whatever happens instead of giving up and thinking that it must mean that he has rejected you, you will come out on the other side amazed. Just like I did.

you poor thing. Devil is lying o u that ur not saved. To do the unforgivable sin u have to be literally hating God and loathing him to the degree of no return. I think ur saved but u need to have some counselling and deliverence. UR SAVED stop letting satan lie to you. I will pray 4 u

the unforgivable sin, i dont think so.what i know is that the blood of the lamb is there to wash all sin, no sin can resist being washed that is if truelly the person seeks that forgiveness.
if you take a look at paul, i think people thought, if God could forgive such a person, a person who persecuted his people, who was so against him, then he must be the LOVE that he says he is, then what people say about him must really be true.
the bible clearly says that blasphemy agaisnt the Holy Ghost is the only unforgivable sin, though i still hold some question to that, from what i hear from, you havent done that.
just do not put a limit to the Blood of the Lamb.i often identify his Blood as an acid.do you know what happens to an item when it comes in contact with an acid,it gets eaten away.that is exactly how the Blood operates with our sins, it eats them away.
what is left is for you to confess your sins unto him and believe in his word.when all hell breaks loose upon your life, hold on unto the word.the key is to never doubt, a single ounce of doubt drops you into the pit.just hold on and remember, a whole lot of christians go through the same stuff.

Don't worry too much about your doubts, either. God can handle them and help you with them, just as He did the man in Mark 9:14-27. This man had brought his son to Jesus' disciples to be healed, but they couldn't heal him. He brought him to Jesus, and Jesus told him, "Everything is possible for him who believes." Verse 23 tells us that the man's response was to immediatly exclaim, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" Whatever unbelief the man had was not enough to keep Jesus from healing his son. He did have some faith, and it was enough.

There will be deliverance for you. When I went through the fear of the unpardonable sin, it wasn't so much that I needed my questions answered. I had them answered, over and over again, but fear always returned. I needed deliverance. And it was there for me, and that makes me know for certain that it is there for you, too.
