Actually, I am in tune with God. Since early May.
And fyi, I pray a lot. I pray, pray, pray.
I don't pray for myself probably because my dad used to call my selfish all the time when I was younger.
And so, I don't focus on myself.
It's become a habit and it just comes naturally.
So with God, I'm the same. But lately, I've been going to Him a lot.
And as other people are saying, this is very normal feeling.
I don't question God's power.
But what I'm doubting is, if that is in His will.
That is all.
Thanks for the response. But I am def trying to be in tune with God :)

Hi Beachccoky. I have some words of encouragement that may help you. I am 47 years old and never wanted to get married or even date (in my opinion - why date if you do not see it leading into marriage). I was dateless for 10 years. Anyway, in January of 2005 something in my heart changed and I wanted a husband. I started to earnestly pray for a husband. I reasoned if his word says that if my will lines up with His, He is faithful to give me the desires of my heart. By June 30th I had my first date with my hubby to be (he was someone I knew casually thruough church) and within 3 weeks we were engaged and are getting married in 3 days. So there is hope.
I read somewhere (not sure where) but when a person is so desperate to get married that signal is given off and often times a prospective spouse picks up on it and gets scared off. Just something to keep in mind.
Hang in there, stay in prayer and remember that God IS faithful.

Beach I know I have felt that way too...for few years I thought I wouldnt get married...and I felt like I wouldnt ever met a good guy... but I have! I met the one I am suppost to be with for rest of my life..and we are engaged to be married.. I know that its a tough feeling but we must be patient on Gods will.
I know it sounds cliche ish but "you will just know" when that person is the one... I dated this guy and we talked about marriage and future..but yet I prayed and I couldnt say for sure he was one but I wanted him to be..because I wanted to get married...but then later on...he broke my heart and I realized he was defintly not the one...and after that I met guys but no boyfriends..and I felt I would never get married.. or even meet a guy. But I kept faith in God and I met my future hubby!

In all honesty I am not aware of too many men, young men, at least, who appear to be eager to get married. Whether it is due to the financially troubling times, or their own level of spiritual maturity, or need for companionship...Marriage is a pretty sobering subject. But this does not mean men don't come to a desire for marriage. Each soul is different.
The most important thing I can say is that it is not something to rush into.

CATLADY11...Congratulatons on your impending marriage. May God bless your union. Im 40 and would like to get married but I really don't go out so its kinda hard meeting someone.
