Zhi -> RE: Suspected 2001 Terrorist Kills Self (8/2/2008 10:01:00 PM)

My husband says this was "a little too easy". Guy commits suicide and suddenly everybody's coming out of the woodwork saying how he was homicidal since grad school, etc etc. The only person not saying this is a friend of his, who, when interviewed, comment on how the guy volunteered for the Red Cross, in his community, and at his church... Yeah, occassionally the serial killers are "he was such a nice guy etc", but still... They seriously let a guy with homicidal tendencies work in one of our national laboratories specializing in germ warfare and deadly diseases? Seriously? The therapist knew about this, knew where he worked, eventually got so worried he filed a restraining order, and didn't think it might be, I dunno, IMPORTANT to bring this to someone's attention? (Before you say "doctor patient priviledge", you sign that away when you get clearances pretty much.) You wouldn't believe the clearances and background checks with everyone you ever knew that people need just to work with some navigation stuff for instance (which is a rather low-level thing), and they let a guy working with WEAPONIZED ANTHRAX who had a long history of homicidal tendencies?
