I am feeling rather inadequate at the moment. Nate is at work. I went to wash his non-work (read: paint-covered...the kid NOW sees the wisdom in me making him keep a pair of jeans even though he hates jeans, lol) clothes...only I can't because I can't figure out his belt buckle, so I can't get it off his pants. Ergo, I can't wash them. And of course, nearly every article of clothing he owns goes in the same wash load (khaki/camo) and all of his clothes are dirty.

Leave those out, Jennifer, and tell him he needs to take the belt off before putting it in the wash.

I would do that, if he HAD put them in the wash, or if I had warned him that I wanted to wash them while he was gone. But he left them on his bed with the intention of changing back into them when he got home, so it really isn't his fault.

I just spoke to my mil. She is in her father's hospital room. They have taken him off of everything and are only giving him pain meds now. The family is all filtering in from around the country to say their goodbyes to him. We don't know how long he will go on like this, but it could be a couple of weeks.

I will be praying that it will be a special and memorable time for him and his family, cynthia.

My grandma was blessed with such a time, and we all made it to visit her while she was still lucid. I have a very special letter she wrote to me during that time. I think such an opportunity to pass on your blessing and see the fruit of your life is a great gift from the Lord.

Jen, can you wash those pants with the belt on, but let them hang dry until he gets home to remove the belt?

I remember when my grandma was in the hospital. I was a teen and it was SOOOOO hard to say "good bye". I really hate even thinking about it. She was so special to me. But, I am still glad I was able to see her.

I remember the last time I saw my Grandpa. He was in the hospital with severe pneumonia. Everyone kept saying that he would get better--especially in front of Grandma. But we knew... We were up for a family "Christmas" and one at a time went over to the hospital to see Grandpa. That was December 22. Dh and I were the last to go, and we brought Granma back home. I knew that would be the last time I'd see him. He died Christmas Day. I had my bag packed and left less than 15mins after I got the call, hoping I'd make it. I didn't.

I hope so too.

His, That's too bad that you didn't make it to be there at the end.

I am very thankful for the impact my grandparents and my husband's grandparents have had on our lives.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping that Hannah would have a little sister. And it's good that Donna was induced early. Can you imagine if she would have gone to term?!

Yay! I KNEW it was a girl.

So, I am beyond frustrated, lol. I got an email from the 'new' agency asking me to bring my resume and come on out (I completed all the testing and stuff this week) and so I changed my clothes and drove all the way out there (beyond the dentist's office, even) only to find out...whoops, they didn't realize they had already talked to me, and I didn't really need to come. And THEN, she said, 'Are you comfortable working around truckers?'

Sigh. Should I just go ahead and get the tattoos? Can't I please work someplace classy, just once?!

Sorry, friend.

I used to work for an automotive repair shop. When I started out I was a bit rough myself, but then I became a serious follower of Jesus.

When I started referring to the mechanics with the title "gentleman" to announce that checks were in, I got the same response from them that I would get today if I were in church cursing.

We came back to Cincy to do some stuff around the house. I have been busy and have not gotten much done yet. I told kids that it was time and my son's reaction was, "but I was just about to...". I got so much arguing from him that I kicked him out.
He just came in to ask if he could do something, and I told him that I don't care what he does.

Not very nice, I know.

He has lost all privileges, but he does not know it yet. That will bring tears and apologies...

I am tired of him butting heads with me.

Sorry, had to vent!!

I always try giving my kids a five minute warning. I must confess that I myself do not deal with it well when people interrupt my plans without warning.

I hope that you will let him help you if he asks again. I think that he probably wants to do right. At least it sounds like it?

No, he really wants to do what he wants to do. It is only when his privileges are taken away that he suddenly cares. He may "come around" later, but I need his help now and that is the issues.

I realize that I am being pretty unreasonable... (bad mommy! )
I am just tired of the arguing. Hubby said that he is exerting his "pre-teen, pulling away from mom and seeking his independence" stuff. I don't care. He is disrespectful. When I give him a foot of freedom, he wants a mile... school oughta be fun!
