That's not the point, Jack. The point is that it was a cheap shot at someone for simply expressing an opinion, and a violation of the TOS.

Ads or news campaign experts really do not have ant effect on me. I usually think they are just unimportant, and of course biased.

Many are warning the McCain campaign that going negative on Obama's character rather than campaining on his strengths and experience will tun off independents and hurt his run for the presidency

All of McCains latest ads lately have been attack ads on Obama rather than substansive ads about how he would be a better candidate than Obama. Do you believe fear-and-smear ads work? Are you more influenced by attack ads over comparative ads?

I haven't seen any "attack" ads on McCain's character by the Obama campaign, (links welcome if others have seen some) but my comment above apply to both campaigns.

Now that it's closer to the election, what do you think now about it?

I think the title of this thread says it all.

LOL true, but taking a look back at what happened during the summer up until now with all the crazy spin like in your OP about all the out-there blame game McCain was trying to blame, it just didn't work and it's still not working. There have been some polls where they showed if the Joe The Plumber worked towards McCain in terms of one voting for them, over 80% said they weren't affected by the ploy, the same about the Ayers and all these other blame game tactis the McCain campaign has tried because it's worked in previous presidential elections. So to answer your question in the OP, I guess most Americans aren't that stupid because we haven't fallen for the blame game McCain and Palin have tried to get so many of us to believe in.

Blame game? What has Obama done? Seems all we ever hear from him is blame Bush for everything. How ironic that some here can't see the reflection in the mirror when answering the OP.

Isn't that McCain's new strategy of the week too?... blaming Bush as well? The Bush administration is the cause of so many problems that our country is in, but I think there's already a folder dedicated to that. The blame game I'm speaking of is in response to the OP which I guess you failed to read.

Actually, it would seem most of the problems occurred after the Democrats gained congress...

well, i do prefer the 'taking the high road" flavor of the Obama campaign as far as the ads and tone of the speeches. Obama has stated what he is going to do, but mccain has not outlined a plan. Mccain seems to have tried to flavor his campaign with fear about Obama. Im trying to be non-biased here, just pointing out what i've myself seen and heard.

I personally wish mccain's campaign and ads would have been more positive and not as negative.

(((if a mccain supporter reads my above comments they will deny what i just claimed and said that mccain DID run a good campaign, the Obama supporters will read my above comments and say "right on - you are correct!)))

by the way, I already voted -- I am non-biased and i wil continue to make comments as i see it regarding all parties.

I see cwazee stuff in BOTH campaigns!!

You know, you're right. Obama hasn't attacked McCain, Palin, Joe the plumber or any others who don't agree with him. He's had the mainstream media and his cronies doing all the dirtywork for him. I see, after going back and rereading the OP, that his army began this assault early on.

Looks like you like to play the "adhominem attack" game! That is a sign that someone isn't able to articulate points well enough to avoid propaganda.

You seem to do it with your attacks on Palin, then McCain, and now Bush, shame on you.

In the last eight years there have been no consecutive quarters of negative real growth, none.

The real GDP growth under all George W. Bush averaged 2.3% per year so far. The individual years were as follows.

2001 +0.2%
2002 +1.9%
2003 +3.7%
2004 +3.1%
2005 +2.7%
2006 +2.4%
2007 +2.3%
2008 +1.8% (first half only)

I just posted that to prove that you have no facts to back up what you just said.
