I try and catch it because I like the "Hot topics" part in the begining of the show and love when they do a whole show on it, but I'm so done with Elizabeth and am not thrilled with Sheri any more. Both are believers, but I don't understand where they are coming from most of the time. I know we all mature at different speeds, but .... .

I usually don't (I am usually cleaning at that time) but this morning I caught it (baby wanted to eat so my cleaning went out the window). I haven't been too impressed with it generally speaking, but sometimes it's interesting to hear their hot topics picks. I think today was nothing but hot topics cause they didn't have any guests on.

Hate it.

I do like Whoopi and at times, Joy, but she is too liberal like most of them. Barbara needs to retire. Cancel the show already.

I was subjected to years of The View while working in the newsroom of an ABC affiliate. I was annoyed/angered/horrified so often that I got into the habit of firing off a nasty email to the show every time I heard something I didn't like. Then one day I suddenly wondered if they thought I was some kind of weird stalker--they had no way of knowing I was a captive audience. [8D] So I stopped writing and just tried to block it out.

That said, I did like Lisa Ling when she was on the show and Meredith Viera was tolerable. Barbara Walters needs to retire before the filters they put on her camera only show a great white blob.

It's probably the most man-bashing show on the air. You couldn't pay me to watch.

Miss Giggles -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/22/2008 12:29:12 PM)

No that's actually the Suze Orman show.

I watch it sometimes. I try to avoid all the shows that are a bunch of yelling, that includes Hardball, Mad money and some of the other political talk shows. LOL

sunshinesoprano -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/22/2008 12:35:00 PM)

I only watch it when I'm home because there's nothing better on when you only have rabbit ears....

The combo now is far better than when Rosie and Elizabeth were at each other. I used to like Rosie's talk show, and I think she's a pretty nice person, but she was SO loud and so obnoxious she overpowered everyone else.

Elizabeth is annoying and sounds like all of her answers were scripted by the Southern Baptist Convention. I'm an SB, but I don't always agree with them.

Whoopi is funny and Joy's a hoot.

It's alright that they're liberal. It takes all kinds. Otherwise, it'd be a boring show.

All in all, it's not bad, but give me a sitcom anyday.

I watch it when kid's in school. I get to do houseworks and just turn the volume loud and pretty one show where I don't have to sit and actually watch it. It's like listening to talk radio. I do like it better now without Rosie.

Hmm, never thought about that.

Stella, I liked Lisa Ling too.

doinkdom -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/22/2008 3:43:56 PM)

use to when it first aired, but the gag-factor kicked in shortly thereafter

lexie -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/23/2008 5:28:55 PM)

I used to watch it, then tuned out when Star Jones used it to finance her wedding, then tuned back in for a while, then tuned back out when Rosie opened her mouth, then tuned back in.

I do watch it. I actually tape it so I can fast forward through the parts that don't interest me. They can have some really informative segments or guests that I really like. And Hot Topics is cool though you often hear me yelling at the tv.

I loved Sherri when she was guest hosting but just don't find her as funny anymore. I used to like Elisabeth because I thought I could identify with her (as a young Christian mother) but I want to poke her eyes out now. I like Whoopi, I think she is doing a good job as the moderator and keeping people on track.

Also I read Barbara's book and realized I already knew everything about her...from hearing her talk about it on the show.

FairviewBaptist -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/28/2008 10:25:24 PM)

depends who is on I watched when Miley Cyrus was on

rockitd -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/30/2008 2:03:02 PM)

I, too, like the Hot Topics, but was enraged when even Elisabeth jumped on the attack Rod Parsley thing because he called out Islam for what it is. Sherri's lost my respect, too.

revbob4God -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/30/2008 2:06:04 PM)

I don't watch the view because I stopped being interested when they had Rosie O Donnell. My wife stopped watching the view when Senator Obama's wife openly discussed pantyhose.

Kerryannism -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (7/31/2008 5:45:50 PM)

I record it daily, watch it if the guest/subject interests me. I fast forward through the rest.

frog43 -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (8/1/2008 3:37:30 PM)

I also tape it, then I can fast forward. The bad part for me is that I agree with Elizabeth politically, but find her increasingly strident; and I totally disagree with Joy politically, but love her humor. Whoopi is great most of the time, but I have seen her dismiss other host's opinions as irrelevant at times. Sherri is occasionally amusing, but doesn't contribute much (I'll cut her some slack since she is still the new kid on the block). If Barbara is on, I fast forward through most of what she has to say. She brings the show down.

JCMK -> RE: Anyone watch The View? (8/2/2008 8:11:40 PM)

I watch The View almost everyday.

Elizabeth's voice grates on my nerves. They need to replace her and let her stay home with her babies. Enough about her breast feeding already! Also, she interrupts, screams, gets mad when they don't give her 10 minutes to state her opinion, and makes faces when the others finally get a chance to talk. I am a Christian and pretty conservative, so I wish we had a more intelligent person on The View to represent our opinions.

Sherry doesn't have much to say, although I think she is sweet and has a beautiful smile.

Joy is very funny, but I don't agree with her political views most of the time. At least she is polite.

Whoopi is great. She is the most intelligent person there. I like her honesty and openness.

Barbara looks great to me. I hope I look half that good when I'm her age. She's thin, too!

Keep the show on! We women don't have any other show to represent us and our varied viewpoints.
