ORIGINAL: deliveredarling The only problem I see with any of this is, feeling like you have to be at church. if you feel like your pup needs you, stay with him. You came up with some good alternatives too. Although I have to ask, why is ok for your son to miss church but not you? I understand about being the pastor's wife. I also understand that you are human and just like the regular folk too, and would appreciate the members of the congregation cutting you some slack from time to time.[:)] I agree with Darling. It would probably be hard for your husband to get along without you, but if i were you, I would stay home and send my son to services. I am certainly not a pastor's wife, but I acquired a precious little kitten, when her mother abandoned her in our very deep window well one cold, rainy, sleety day. I bought her a carrying case and took her everywhere. I was worried about her, because she was crippled and so young -- about 6 weeks old. When it was time for services, maybe I should have left her home, but I just couldn't. I brought her and kept her discreetly in her little case. On Monday, things just were not right for Chatuli Kitty Wompas. She wasn't acting right. I took her to work, and just when it was time for my weekly meeting with my boss, I asked to be excused, instead taking her to the pet hospital. She did not come out alive. I initially felt a bit guilty for being so concerned that I took her to services, but not after that. That little life deserved everything I gave her and more, if it could have been possible. She gave me so much in those short five days, in May of 2005, that she was mine. Thank you for letting me remember again.
