I can't stand to come back to a house that hasn't been cleaned before I left.

Same goes for the bed; I put freshly laundered sheets on the bed before I leave on a trip.
(Well, I try, sometimes, those freshly laundered sheets have to go on the night before I leave; especially if I have a very early a.m. flight).

Lynn, how did you pack the mints for travel?
Are they heat-sensitive?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this uh....compulsive disorder...nah...that ain't it...preference...that's it!!!
LOL! I've never consider having a clean house to be a compulsive disorder.

I keep my house clean and tidy on a regular basis, so it's no big deal for me to do it before I leave for a trip (especially laundry waiting to be done; I always make sure that all laundry is done before I leave for a trip, and all dishes have been cleaned, etc.)

There's just something about returning home, opening the front door and not having a mess (or a chore) somewhere be the first thing I see when.

Fiddle . . . I even do that if I'm leaving to go just to the post office; if there's clutter or dirty dishes or something, it's going to get taken care of before I walk out the door to go somewhere. I do the same before I go to bed at night, and for the same reason . . . I can't stand waking up to a messy house.

Lynn, y'all enjoy the trip. Be safe and have fun.

IMHO that's a good preference.
Always had that preference, but not always the discipline to carry thru and many times hired someone to clean ...lol.
Of course was not as easy when children were home, lots of activity, their friends in & out, along with working full time & then some, but the untidiness was more than worth the fun and the love. .....well, most of the time ha!ha!

BTW, Sharon-Marie, how goes the caligraphy project ??

If my memory serves, and it may well be confused....lol
several months ago you had said something about considering perhaps opening a calligraphy shop in PF, and I had said one of my acquaintances had opened a shop and was doing rather well.

You will have to excuse CTL, her memory isn't too good either, and she just likes saying calligraphy.

Oh!

As it turned out, I decided to put calligraphy on the backburner for a while (except for gifts and such; but not for sale).

And at the moment, I don't have anywhere TO do my calligraphy (not even for gifts, fiddle) . . . all these goofy toys have overrun my house. LOL

Why, yes, Kerr, as a matter of fact, I do like saying "calligraphy." It's such a fun word!

Dorene, VBS week is so rewarding and exhausting, isn't it?

Ours was a few weeks ago...had a great time, but crashed when it was over.

Yes, it is very rewarding, you never know whose life you will effect. I am so ready for a day off tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to resting this weekend too, and I didn't have VBS this week.

Hi Christi and Dorene!

I guess I do too. Nothing different about this one. There must be something in the subconscious that says "Weekend: Time to sleep in and squeeze in some rest."
