quote:
He was suppose to take his driving test on Wednesday but he has made some very irresponsible decisions lately that have us wondering if he really understands the importance of driving safely. I let him drive when there were some of his friends were in the car too. He was so caught up in showing off that he drove right over the curb. He made several other silly mistakes that he never makes. He was just to caught up in showing off. So what is he going to do if he is driving all by himself and he comes across a group of his friends. I can see him hurting someone or worse just so he can show off. Now his dad is making him prove he is responsible enough to drive well even when his peers see him before he can get his licence. So far it is not promising, leaving the house without telling anyone is not the way to do it. If I may I had a joke I thought you would appreciate. A Preacher's son turned 16 and wanted to drive. The Preacher said to the son, Read the Bible, Get better grades, Go to church more and cut your hair. A few weeks passed, the son was a daily Bible Reader, he was going to church and had raised his grades, but not cut his hair. The preacher told the son, no car till you cut your hair. Son said "Well, Jesus and all of the Apostles had long hair..." The Preacher pondered for a minute, smiled, and replied "Yeah, and they walked everywhere they went."
