Isa 30:8-10 8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: 9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits.. What laws were they breaking in Isaiah which had the Prophetsaying this to them? Could it have been they failed in the love department. Like unconcerned about the oppress, widows, orphans, and the poor. Sounds like another topic, and regarding love, it is written: Phil 1:8-9 8 For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. 9 AND THIS I PRAY, THAT YOUR LOVE MAY ABOUND STILL MORE AND MORE IN KNOWLEDGE AND ALL DISCERNMENT... (NKJ) If you want to know what this means, please PM me. BTW, if “Christian” organizations/churches were truly concerned about “ widows, orphans, and the poor”, perhaps they wouldn’t allocate 90% of received offerings to the funding of buildings, hirelings, etc. Just some food for thought. Thank you. So now that it has been proven that the accusations of false/heretical teachings is false - you want to shift the focus on their use of financial resources? Did someone move the cheese?

I won’t debate as to what has “been proven” and no thank you to the financial question. I will say this: RBC used to have a “no-debt policy” of “growing and shrinking” based on their received offerings. We found that to be very Scriptural. I don’t know if that’s still their practice. Does nanyone else know?

Uhm... I read the article... there is nothing in it that is actually heretical... It's a little "sloppy agape" for my tastes, but it's a realtively sound message. Don't get hung up in being so zealous for the law that you neglect God's burning love for you. Nowhere in that article does the author endorse tossing out the law completely, only that the laws and rules shouldn't be our focus as much loving God. Adam

Gee I have been trying to get churchs to get on the bandwagon of helping others for years and years. Iwiill agree with you on that they think of the great ivory palace in which to entertain them selves yet miss the picture in the Bible. On that subject last night I was watching on (Lord forgive me) TBN. They were showing that they had remodeled a old theater in LA.. Which with all the great trimings and stuff put into it. Could have done a great work in the L.A. area and probably lead a few more to Jesus Christ.
