So then, like, let me get this straight... when, not if, an attack of great proportions comes out of either the middle east to our allies in Europe or even Russia, the same Russia that is falling back to it's old ways and rebuilding the military and aligning themselves with China, so then when this attack happens, you all are going to be fine with just letting it happen and not trying to prevent the massive amount of complete destruction. I'll tell you what, why don't you go outside your house and yell to the sky and plead for your life and maybe those choosing to hate us may spare your life? OR, you may be the first to go? IDK, jus' sayin. I think one of these days, you'll appreciate having a missile defense system.

Sea based Strategic Fleet: 12 submarines carrying up to 609 warheads; they employ delivery systems like SS-N-30 Bulava. Strategic Aviation: 237 bombers(16 Tu-160,63 Tu-95,and 158 Tu-22m) carrying up to 884 Cruise missiles You might want to do a little research in your spare time.

Moreover on Russian Military I've read your posts, your credibility is less than 0. Prove Wikipedia is unreliable. FYI - This thread was about a missile defense system in the Czech Republic (I believe it's actually a radar in the Czech Republic, the missles in Poland). quote:

Plase tell me how a European based interceptor will stop Russian (or Chinese) SLBMs or SLCMs in the Pacific? And Iran can barely make a rocket that'll get to Europe. - Iranian missles

Prove Wikipedia is unreliable. Wikipedia unreliable. Wikipedia's credibility is less than zero. I'm not saying that it is completely inaccurate but should not and can't be relied on solely for information. Sorry. European allies need to be protected! Iran will continue to work on it's capabilities. Don't think for a minute that because of some failed test that they aren't going to be moving forward. Your shortsideness would get us all killed. It is planning for the future.

If Russia does have the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons of any country, why has not the U.S. built theirs up to at least match or even exceed's Russia's supply?

Maybe it's not the quantity, but the quality. Russia doesn't have the best record for quality and reliability. -Dave quote:

From my understanding, (and a little experience), you're quite correct. I spent some time at a military hospital in Europe with one of our nuke techs in the mid-'80s, I had not realized how small we could make the darn things. Our MIRV technology scares the heck out of the Russians, and I believe one of the treaties specified a limit on our SLBM warheads (not that we'd lose the capability, just not deploy it).
