It allows for superbugs if you sanitize everything.

I'm offended because about 2 months ago my boss had a cough and then I ended up getting a cough and getting sick too! However, he later ended up in the hospital with a heart condition which the doctor's said that it was because of his heart that he had the cough instead. I do not believe it though as I was still sick for about a week myself, albeit a cold instead.

There is such a thing called a cardiac cough.

Hi Diva, I do not deny it, but I just wonder why I caught a cold the day that he had the cough is all.

Hmmm maybe he had a cold and the virus went to his heart and he got the cardiac cough.

Maybe, however he denies ever having a cold though, even though at least 2 other people got sick as well.

OK he had a cold that went his heart by way of his head and he developed partzhiemers and forgot he ever had a cold. It can happen--at least in my imaginary world.

Somehow my post disappeared except for the smiley. What I said was logic and algebra were the only 2 things I never could figure out. Had the same teacher for both--different years. Had to take both 3 x's! He finally gave me a D to get me outta his class.

Ok, if you say so, well you know what they say, either you are good at math or you are good at English instead. I guess that English must be your strong point instead!

I like language alot. And it's funny that with my math history I worked for 10 years in an administrative role where I did all the bank reports and P&L's and accounts payable.

Awwww! Memories of my childhood!

I rarely get sick - maybe once a year. The only anti-bacterial anything in my house is in my kitchen. I have been known to leave my cooked food on the stove for hours before I remember to stick it in the fridge. I have cats and a dog who lives to give me "kisses" on my face and sleep with me every night. I rarely wear gloves when I garden and the only reason I shower after yard work is allergies. I do keep my house tidy and fairly clean, but I rarely sanitize anything. I don't even bleach my towels.

Not a lot grosses me out. If I'm eating out and find a hair in my food, I simply pluck it out (I'm used to cat/dog hair in my food anyway). If my cat licks my ice cream, I won't throw the carton away. I have caught my cat Phoebe licking my toothbrush, but I don't throw it out - just rinse it off.

However, I won't even share a butterknife with my family or drink out of the same cup with my best friend. After working at a grocery store, I will never again share a "dip" in a public place. Ever again. I try not to touch the doorknob of the public bathroom after I have washed my hands. And if I've been shaking people's hands, I like to wash my hands before I eat.

Yeah. I'm weird... Hope that doesn't offend anyone...

I'll share with you on that one. Sometimes it is a challenge to open the door with my elbow. I wonder how many people we offend when we are dorking around with the door instead of just grabbing it and opening, to which I think, "if I could trust you to wash your hands I wouldn't have to be doing this">

Opening public bathroom doors is why in the Beginning, paper towels and shirt tails were created. However, public bathrooms were invented by the evil one. I don't use them. I'll drive home first.

When drying my hands, I just keep the wet paper towel in my hand to use to open the door and then toss it in the trash later.

If I could control my "functions" then I would never use a public restroom...but that just ain't happening all the time.

Was out yesterday, shopping. Left my basket right there and went home. Hate that. I think that chocolate soy milk I drank, and later noticed was past date, was the culprit.

Indeed.

Car2ner, I am offended that I don't know whether you are a car tuner or a cartooner.

I'm truly sorry, but there are those who look for an excuse to be offended because they like to think other people just don't treat them right. I have run into the most ludicrous examples: I moved to the city, state my mother was living in with my family, and my grandmother wrote a letter to my mother saying 'isn't it nice that you'll be with your family for Christmas?' My mother was furious, offended because she wasn't able to be with all of her brothers and sisters as well, so how dare her mother...! My husband had a heart attack, and my sister-in law, who was living with us, bought him some of the more 'heart-healthy' margarine when she went to the store. I went to the store the next week, and they had a different brand on sale, so I bought some, because it's usually expensive. My sister-in-law took offense because she thought I was implying that she didn't know what kind to get for my husband.
As far as me being offended, if I get that feeling, I think of Christ, on that last day, being called names, being spat upon, mocked, whipped. And He was perfect, Holy. And He endured this for my sake. Who am I, to be so proud, to think I'm too good for someone to say an unkind thing to me?
