Thanks for explaining Debian. I'm not a computer knowledgeable person myself...at least not to the extent of talking about it...and holding an intelligible conversation..

If I can be of help in any way, let me know. I'm one of the resident geeks.

And we love you all the more for it. *pats you*

yea, I would have to say that southern accents are quite awful for the most part...

I'm a northerner tho and I can't understand half of what some southerners say sometimes. Especially my brother in laws brother, from Alabama...most times I think he is a girl...

His name is Daniel and I think he is saying Susan...serious

And I would love to have a date too...with some young man...

My posts probably look like randomness because I don't like to take the time to copy things in and respond to them...

Southern accents. Try the Hawaiian Pidgin-English.

Yes, I too, would like to go out on a date tonight, too...with a man who smells good, talks good, and looks good!

I hardly thought anyone would love me less for grokking computers.

Do they still end every question with yeah? "You wanna go to the mall, yeah?"

Eh, you like go to 'da mall, yeah?

When my mother visited from Hawaii to attend my son's graduation, no one could understand her. My eldest, would translate to proper English.

I moved 25 years ago, but will talk pidgin when on the phone with mom or friends from the islands. My kids will correct my grammar; it amuses them.

I haven't talked to anyone there in over 15 years. So I don't have to worry about slipping.

I think it would be funny though. I'm sure I would even after the time lapse...LOL

Oh good! I am loved! :D :D

I loveeeeee the Canadian accent.

So, the best friend and I were on the way home from shopping and we had to go like 1 mph...apparently there was some sort of accident. BUT it started sprinkling and I got to hang my hand out the window and let the rain carress it...

He comes like the rain! :X

Robb;

Glad you like my avatar! Probably will change it tomorrow...but I promise to make it something that will make you and everyone else smile.

If I didn't know the feeling that avatar expresses very well, it wouldn't have been funny, don't you agree?

Checkin' in with my friends!

I spent a lovely day with some old friends who contacted us and asked us over for lunch and a swim.

GP1 called to say that The Beau's parents have gone weird on us again. He was nevertheless going to meet with the pastor (sorry if you haven't been following the story--please feel free to visit my PFY for background) today, and I am waiting (on pins and needles) for a report of that meeting from GP1.

More details at 10:00. "

*cue soap opera music* as screen fades from "BUY BLUE SKY SOAP" to a big white question mark on a big black screen...

Well folks. This thing with The Beau's parents just gets more bizarre. I'm not going to give details because there's no point and I'm not at liberty to, anyway. Just suffice it to say that I believe someone in this deal is significantly mentally imbalanced, and it's not GP1 or The Beau. I'm completely baffled by all the twists and turns this courtship has taken. GP1 and I are tired of the whole thing. Not that she's tired of him, mind you, just tired of the constant ups and downs of the relationship with his parents.

So. We are at a standstill, she and I, until God does something new.

Hope everyone's day was blessed! I'll be around over the weekend...

I'm in CPR/First Aid training all day today; working tonight; church and working all day tomorrow; working all next week. I am going to end up with 65 hours for this current week, and probably the same thing for next week too. This project MUST be finished. Oh, and I'm also interviewing for a new position within hospice, yet must still continue what I'm doing too. Thankfully, I will begin house/kitty sitting on Thursday - so that'll be nice - it has a pool and cable and is cool and I get a minor break from the family for 10 days. Plus, I'm planning on spending some of that time with someone who I really need to talk to about our lives.

Thanks! Today will be fun - just all part of my CERT training.

I'm still waiting on my teaching certificate, so I'm not counting on anything other than subbing for this year, but that's okay. Hospice is keeping me plenty busy. The new position seems tailored made for me. I'm pretty excited.

Okay, time for one more cup of coffee and then get ready - I need to be out of my house shortly after 8am....

Have a great day everyone! I'll try to check in during breaks, if we have wireless at this place.

Good morning, everyone. Wow Lisa. You're 've been exceptionally busy lately!!

If I can get awake, I've got a busy day planned. It's too late/hot for me to go to the park to do my reading, so I'll do that now, then finish up my computer work this afternoon. I'm going to call a friend and go to the cycle shop to look at bicycles... they've started a bicycling group at my church and I want to get involved.

Time for some tea and devotional, then I'm ready to start the day!

I think I'm going to stay here where the weather makes sense. Florida weather just sounds too confusing.

I heard that New England got pummeled with rain on Thursday. I was in DC where the weather was quite nice instead.

BTW, I think I might just stay in New England for now, although moving to DC would be an interesting move.
