Hi, ladies.

{{{Roberta}}}

The twins aren't jumping into taekwondo yet (still feeling a bit bashful) but E's sure loving it.

We missed church today due to a flat but we were able to get it fixed and go to a cousin's 3rd birthday. H picked out her present for her. A little (about 1/3 the size of a regular one), pink, Barbie skateboard. It's so cute!

Now E and I are watching The Count of Monte Cristo. I love that movie.

Have a nice day, ladies.

On the way to exercise class today I stopped to see if the tire could be fixed. It's got a gash in it...not gonna happen. So we'll get a used one for the spare since the spare that's on now is a good tire and matches the rest of them.

I'm going shopping in a bit with a friend for a new swim suit. I have a perfectly good new one in Kuwait but I left it there. There's no such thing as modest swimwear here (that I've ever seen) so this should be real interesting.

That's about it. Not much else happening around here. Tomorrow the kids start summer camp. Yeah!

Have a nice day, ladies!

I don't like shopping for swimwear or bras. I'm not the easiest size to buy for.

I don't like shopping in general. Not my idea of fun. I did enjoy couch shopping with m'love. We bought a love-seat since we didn't take our old couch with us.

Even food/groceries is hard to shop for around here...very strict budget right now. It's more fun when you can spend more on food. LOL

There's more variety too.

My kitty is at the vet today...she's being spayed. I can call in 2.5 hours to find out how she did. Should be going into surgery about now as they do the surgeries after lunch (give or take).

That's about all for today. Three weeks until we go pick up the moving truck. Time is FLYING and we have so much organizing/packing to do yet.....

It's another HOT day here...supposed to hit 110. Where's the pool when you need one?

Well, swimsuit shopping went great. The first one I tried on fit great but it had big flowers on it. Pretty but they were pretty large flowers on me. Figured I didn't need to accentuate it, KWIM? So I got the same one in red with black streaks. Went to a pricey shop where the owner travels to Italy 3-4 times a year to get merchandise. It was half price! Whoohoo! I wonder how many times THAT can happen in a lifetime.

Tomorrow we're headed to Aunt's house for lunch. I'll pick up the kids from summer camp and then head to pick up FIL and head over. Guess I'll need to fill up the Range Rover first. What fun! Gas here is as high as the States. That's the only thing I miss about living in Kuwait. LOL

Well, have a nice day, ladies.

I don't mind shopping for clothing if it is with Lorne. We both like to shop quickly. Too many ladies I have known like to try on everything just for the fun of it. I am not like that and get bored right away when someone does that.

Grocery shopping is okay unless we are both very tired.

The best kind of shopping is when we get something our pets need. It is easy and I love going to pet stores!

Today is the day they take apart the plane's engine... the one that crashed. Lorne's boss is with the transportation safety board watching their every move. Just pray that no matter what news comes from taking apart the engine that everyone at Lorne's work will be ok. It's not the easiest day because it is making things feel so new again. There hasn't been a day that has passed in the last month that Lorne and I haven't thought about what happened.

Hey ladies, my dd came home today and said that her friend didn't have several needed items in their home. We knew her dad had not been working but did not know how bad it was. We went to store and picked up groceries to take over...dd got scared and begged us not to take them cause they would be mad at her for telling. So we bought a gift card for the grocery store and took it and put it in their mailbox...what else can I do and salvage my dd's friendship at the same time? Any suggestions on how to help proud people...and I know we are all proud at times, I am not meaning that in a detrimental way.

I don't really have any suggestions. Having been there where I needed funds for groceries, etc., it was best to come in the form of a gift card or just a cash gift in an anonymous way. I had that happen several times...and I never knew who it came from...still don't. God does & I thanked God for the person (people) that blessed me in these ways & asked for Him to bless them.

Then there isn't really pressure as to oh, this came from Suzy Q Homemaker and her daughter Jane who play with my daughter Mary. Plus by shopping for items for them, it runs the risk of buying something they are either allergic to...or don't like. I think in your case, a gift card to the grocery store is probably best because then it can only be used at that particular store unlike cash which can be used anywhere.

I go to pick up my kitty in a couple of hours. Hope she's all right. Jennifer, wasn't it your kitty that was upset after she got spayed? I hope my cat fares better cuz I know my little one is going to want to pet her, etc...even though I've given him the talk about kitty having owies like Mommy did (I had surgery about 2 and a half months ago...so this is working nicely).

Have a great day!

Yes it was my kitty, I didnt think she liked the strange people and when I picked her up all the blankets and towels were in back so I bet they had tough time trying to get her in her cage... first night was kinda tough when she got out of the cage she was woozy and couldnt walk right...and kept stumbling...because drugs they had gave her...were still with her and so she hid most time away under my bed... but she began to come out more and would sleep with me but when other would come around she go back under bed...but I was worried I she jump off stuff and jump on but she didnt do that and she walked slow for few days but then she was back to her old self ( that first night was hard though...I felt like I was horrible person for putting her threw that) but many people didnt have any problems with theirs... but my kitty didnt like strangers or let alone groups of people...idk shes weird like that lol

Thursday- thats awesome!

Nicole, There was mall not far from me that had pet store in it...and every time I went to mall I would go in that store it would be first place I went lol
((praying)) for the situation

Red- that was wonderful idea with gift card and anonymous cash would work as well.

Well todays my sweeties b-day and his sisters lol I am making the crown jewel cake ... so I started on it last night and then on my lunch break went to finsh it and it should be ready by time I get off work. Well I hope everyone is doing well today

You won't believe this!!! The vet MISSED my cat. She didn't get spayed yesterday . They were planning to take her in as soon as I left to spay her though.

I wish I had known before I drove the 20 miles (one way) to go pick her up. And I won't be going back until tomorrow afternoon. Thankfully I had to reschedule a doctor appointment for then otherwise I wouldn't be a very happy camper at all. As it is, DH is rather perturbed about the incident. Why didn't they call us? Or something?

Anyway...I worked out this morning...one more workout before I complete week 6. It's 97 and it's almost 11:30...will be a HOT one today.

Me too. I tried calling them a little bit ago....to verify that they did in fact get her spayed. Couldn't get through... *sigh*

From what the lady was saying...she thought the cat was to be spayed TODAY. I'm just like...no, I brought her in yesterday morning at 8 am. She was supposed to be ready to go home TODAY at 9 am. Poor kitty...I really wanted to check on her to see if they had fed/watered her as well.

aww :( well im sure everything went fine and maybe no one was around to get phone when you called earlier... But one good thing is...your kitty is being spayed then coming home next day so drugs will be wore off by then... I took my kitty in at 8am picked her up that afternoon.

That makes two of us!!! YIKES! I haven't been swimsuit shopping in years...of course I also haven't had one on in years I'm also with whoever said they hated shopping of any kind!

Hope everyone is doing well...I've been extremely busy (it's just that busy time of year in my business) but I've taken the rest of the week off...YAY...my first vacation days in over a year. It's only 3 days and I'm not going anywhere, but hey it's still time off!

{DenimDiva} I don't know what I'd do if I had to put my kids on a plane without me. Even if they were going with DH and I wasn't, I'd be nervous. I kind of like to be with them. If she's anything like her mom she has a good head on her shoulders.

{Nicole} I'm sorry about what Lorne's going through (and the rest of the people from his work). Hopefully after taking apart the engine they can find out what they need to know and get things settled and move ahead. Keep us posted.

Yesterday's lunch went well. Other than it being way to hot at Aunt's, it was fun. I posted about it HERE last night. You might not want to hungry though when you read it. LOL

One of my online friends wanted to see pics of our place here so I might post those later.

Have a nice day, ladies.
