Psalm 51 is our best known prayer of penitence in the Bible. Psalm 51. Prevailing This type of prayer is fervent, insistent and consistent until a breakthrough takes place. This can be a prayer for ourselves, our families, or for someone else. Example Believing for emotional or physical healing. Consecration When we pray a prayer of consecration, we are committing and dedicating of our life to God's use. To some this is a scary prayer because they are turning over their own personal will to that of the Lord. Devotional - done durning devotions while reading Bible etc. Spontaneous Conversational Acton - Prayer while doing something else.
