Just saying hi. I'm not an SG fan, so sometimes I'm not sure what to say in here. I'm not opposed to SG...during my two years in Memphis I heard it often, and it was okay. I'm just more into Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, and that genre. Am I still welcome here?

I like hymns, too.

Are you ADHD Judy?

You change your name, or your avatar, or your thread title more often than I change my J. C. Penneys.

Judy, have fun at SDC. Not sure who all you will see but know it will be great. We will keep things calm here 'til you get back although some of mine will be from vacationland.

Thanks Santa, really looking forward to it. We will see--Ball Brothers, the Swan, Karen Peck, Three Bridges, Gold City and of course my boys (Soul'd Out and Spoken 4) and then some others if time permits would be Dove Brothers, Charlotte Ritchie and Greater Vision if they are not in Ecco Hollow ( can't do all of the stairs). We are both on vacation but maybe I'll check in at night. Gotta have that computer with me ya know.

Hey Deb, you are ALWAYS welcome here. Thank goodness we don't all like the same things. It would make for a rather boring world. BTW I love the old hymns!

Well for goodness sake Kerr. You can't come to Judyland and get bored
so I change things around. Just FYI my name and thread title have only been changed once. As far as the avatar goes, Just get bored. On second thought---oh never mind. Don't want to talk about it.

See how smart you are, you found me. I am fine and loving my new thread name. Lynn and Terri helped with that.

You have to do a through the years poster. We did one for my aunt. We called it "The Many Hairstyles of JoAnne".

I like that idea! That is similiar to an idea I had...I have a picture of our great aunts Aliese and Annie May...and our aunts Marian and Doris. Well the point is everyone asks us all the time if we had the same parents...my sister is tall and blonde and slender...like Aliese and Doris. Annie May and Marian and myself are dark hair and on the shorter plump side...in other words the genes have transcended 3 generations.

I understand that! My grandma and aunt (sisters) married my grandpa and uncle (brothers). So the line as far as who is actually brother and sister can be strayed if you went by looks alone.

I've been reading and playing with my darling daughter. Another year and I will be an almost empty nester...meaning all of my kids will be in school. In the meantime she definitely keeps me busy. Oh...did I tell you about the surprise 40th birthday party I'm helping my neice give my sister??? She is the baby of the family so we are really trying to do it up big. What's so funny is I'm 3 1/2 years old than she is and we get this question all the time..."Which one of you is the oldest?" She looks like this... and I'm like...

So sorry Lynn. I missed this post Sounds like you are one busy gal. 40th birthday partys are a lot of fun. I have not minded hitting those marks myself. I am the middle child with one younger and one older sister. Our pastor years ago called us morning, noon and night. We are just that different.

Terri families from the old days get confusing. Here's one for you to figure out.

My mothers dad died when she was 2 yrs old. Her mother remarried a man named Jim.

My fathers dad met a lady and married her. She was Jim's sister. Therefore my mother's mom became my dad's mother-in-law and also his aunt because she was married to his uncle. All my mothers half siblings were cousins to my dad as well as in-laws. I am so confused.

Looks like we are going to have thunder storms tonight. Can't get rain without storms. We really need the rain. Don't really care for those $60 water bills because of watering the yard.
Yep, I hear it raining as I type.

Judy I gave up watering the yard last year. I have decided brown is a perfectly acceptable color.

I will sure try. Unless these people are in an outdoor theater, they are rarely available to chat with us. Glad you mentioned Charlotte because I have never heard her. Tried to listen on either a website or youtube can't remember which one but decided I wanted to see her.

Hi everyone!
We had our first day at the Southern Gospel Picnic. We saw Three Bridges, The Swan, Karen Peck and New River and the Ball Brothers. We enjoyed each and every one. We did a repeat on a couple of them. The crowd was of the senior variety today because most children were in school. I felt young there today!
We are hot, tired and hungry and are going out to dinner.
See ya later
