I haven't been on a bike since.........uhhhh...........hmm. I don't remember when I rode a bike last. Would love to be able to ride with the kiddos.

They say that once you learn to ride a bike that you never forget how to. And you know, I believe it as I have never found myself able to unbalance myself on a bike at all.

I once was able to ride my ten-speed without the use of my hands. I could turn corners and everything. I would ride all around the neighborhood without ever touching the handlebar...

When I was just a 'lil kid my father said that he would take me bike riding with together. I asked him how he would turn the bike? He said that he could lean and turn corners that way.

Heya Kimberly!

Looks like quite a list!!!! How are you doing?

it is, isn't it? (giggle) but i got a lot of 'irons in the fire'...and have knocked-off quite a few little things this week...so i'm cool.

i'm doing okay. the dreary morning got me off to sluggish start...but nothing a litlle time in the Word didn't fix. i'm so stinkin motivated...i'm gonna go to my pilates (which will hurt my knee...but it MUST be done!) and my total-gym (which i can only work upper body at this point, but that, too, must be done. ugh!).

maybe if you see me around later you can bolster my determination and tell me how my hard work's really beginning to show! (giggle...yeah...right!)

I do pilates as well KJ. I have the Mari Windsor DVD's. Right now I am only able to do the exercises on my side due to breaking my tailbone, but I am looking forward to doing the whole workout. I love it I have been doing it for about three years.

3 yrs...wow! i'm impressed!!

i have a crunch series DVD...but i've always heard windsor is one of the best. i like this one cuz it's broken down into four 10-min sessions (3 specific areas...1 total body). i usually just do the 3 specific areas all in a row.

i also have a total gym. i like it cuz it has the slide board...again...less stress on my knees. now THAT thing gives a good workout! unfortunately...i lost the footboard in the hurricane a few years ago. and, of course, i've never replaced it. but i can still do upper body on it...i just HAVE to do it.

today's devotion is one i'm gonna have to chew on this one a while.

Secret Places

Job 28:11 He searches the sources of the rivers and brings hidden things to light.

He (Satan) knows that thoughts of our private sins will eventually eat away at us, causing us to feel fraudulent and unworthy of the love and acceptance of others, and most of all, our Heavenly Father. However, the truth is, we are the ones who don’t love and accept ourselves. Not God.

Lord Jesus, thank You for knowing me completely, and loving me just the same. Help me to seek Your Truth and deny my natural tendency to hide from You and from others. Let me see the value in being real before You, and help me not to keep secrets from You anymore. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Combat those secret keeping habits you have developed over time:
1. Practice telling the truth.
2. Develop a genuinely-authentic faith.
3. Recognize that no one has it all together.
4. Stop trying to be perfect, act confident, appear happy, and seem super-spiritual.
5. Determine to live your life with a genuineness that others will cling to and want to emulate.

HUGE PRAISE!!!! (i think...giggle)

i just checked my checking account...and there's a deposit for over $400 in there today!!!!!

i'm not sure where it came from. it has one of those weird abbreviated payee notes. i THINK i know...but i guess i just forgot i'd set it up to send me the money. lol

any way.......it's a real blessing from God...cuz i had next to nothing in the bank...after not getting a paycheck in 3 weeks...and won't get my first disability check til next week. but i leave for chicago this afternoon...and worried all night how i was going to afford the gas AND take my babies out for something after the ceremony...and have money next week to do stuff with my son.

thank You, Lord...for surprise blessings! You always see to my needs!!! You are truly a loving and thoughtful God. i just praise You, Lord!! thank You for giving me a way to do something fun with my babies today. i ask that You help me to be disciplined in my spending...and thank You for the continued abundance You will be bringing me. in Jesus' name i pray...amen.

hello, y'all! (group hug)

we've been busy doing a bunch of nothingness here! (i'm lovin it!!! )

and yes...i had a nice sunday. i haven't posted anything about it, have i? or did i? i can't even remember. lol short update:

went to church...and ran into an old school chum...who i didn't know was going to church (after a year in the truck...and spending many of my weekends with the kids in chicago...i haven't exactly made a lot of church sundays. giggle). then i ran into a couple of my cousins and their kids...and my aunt and uncle...and a couple guys i used to work with...and i kinda forgot i was supposed to be looking out for my new 'friend.' so we left without seeing him.

but just as we got to my folks' for lunch...my phone rang. he'd seen me, but didn't want to interrupt, i guess...so didn't introduce himself. BUT he said i looked very pretty, liked my skirt, blah blah blah. just wanted to say he'd seen me and hoped i had a nice sunday with my son.

we've were pretty busy this morning...but when i signed in this afternoon...we chatted a while. i teased him...cuz my cousin had called yesterday evening...telling me he's a very nice guy...a little more shy than me tho (that leaves a LOT of room for speculation...since i'm not shy at all. giggle). but he was all 'thumbs up.' my 'friend' was glad to hear that. he got HUGE points for saying he thot i looked "very beautiful." (i told him 'good guy answer!') and he said he thinks we will be either very good friends...or maybe more.

that's good, right?
