PRAYER REQUEST
just applied for a p/t position at one of our local hospice. it's basically an entry-level MT position. this would be EXCELLENT experience. and my cousin (who used to be a PT for the parent group) says they 'borrow' employees between the hospital, physician's offices, and even down to peoria (bigger city about 40 miles away)...so it could even lead to a f/t opportunity down the road!
this wasn't posted in the paper, so God really led me to it. pray i don't get too excited, but follow His lead. (but still pray they receive my application with open hearts and open minds! giggle)

good morning, all. couple points from today's devotion:
Your Scars Are Beautiful To God
Ps 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story...
We receive scars in one of two ways: what has been done to us by other people; or what has been done through us by our own mistakes and failures.
For a scar, by its very definition, implies healing.
Dear Lord, I have many scars on my body and on my soul. I pray that You will take these scars and use them for Your glory. I pray that oYu will give me the courage not to hide them, but to show the world the healing power of Jesus Christ in my life. Thank You for healing me and making me whole. In Jesus’ name...amen.

good post about scars ... your prayer, when you talk of not hiding them and showing the world the healing power, reminds me of one of my fave scriptures:
Praise be to the God&Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion & the God of all comfort,who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Cor 1:3-4 NIV

God picked up my spirits thru today's devotion... (thank You!  )
It's All About Love
Zeph 3:17 The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
i'll be honest...it's not often i think of GOD taking delight in me. i am wayyyyyyy too aware of my own failings. and i really haven't felt like i'm much to rejoice over lately. but regardless of what MY kids do...i am constantly delighting in them and rejoicing over them...so i guess it shouldn't be surprising that my heavenly Father feels the same for me, as His child. boggles my little mind, tho. 
Gal 3:20, 21 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever.
wow! i know that no matter what i lay at His feet...no matter how overwhelming it all feels to me right now...He is MORE. but i forget the part about His power being at work within me. ME??? are You serious, God? i'm sooooo nothing! and i'm sooooo weak. i feel anything but powerful. so i'm just gonna have to trust You on this one. work Your power thru me today, Lord. make me powerful when i can't imagine being. make ME more!! thank You, God...thank You. i love You...these things i ask in Jesus' name...amen.

Hi Kimberly, I was making a delivery yesterday and when in an elevator, I heard someone talking about how they do Pilotey's. (OK, Pilates), however I always thought that it was pronounced as Pilots instead for some reason.

i'll tell ya...for a 'no stress' workout...it really works ya! i can feel a WHOLE bunch of muscles that i must not have been using much. and it really is helping me work my knee.

When I lived in FL my roommate used to do pilates in the living room. I remember laughing and mocking her in the process (all in fun, of course!!). A few years later I tried it and ugggghhh couldn't endure! hahaha.

i think it take YEARS of practice to look graceful doing yoga! lol
i'm afraid to try my bike again. i'd only been out on it twice before i re-injured my knee. don't think i'm quite ready for that again yet.

pilates is basically stretching...very simple, flowing movements. i like that you don't have to work up a sweat..but you still feel it the next day...so you know it's working. lol
