For all those who post in Theo and elsewhere, I thought we could use this thread to learn and explore ways of being snarky without looking like it.

We'll learn to come up with creative responses such as ~

My, that certainly is an interesting perspective.

and

I have no doubt that you are quite sincere in that mistaken belief.

We'll even draw from Shakespeare...

I'm afraid you are too cunning to be understood.

Have something you'd really like to post but know it's not going to fly? Post it here and get it off your chest while we fine-tune and tweak the language into something that, upon the first read seems innocuous enough but, upon re-reading, elicits a "Hey! Wait a minute! " response.

What popped into my mind was a saying by an old radio personality that I used to listen to:

This is too intense for the dense.

HA! Like, perhaps, "You may find another thread more accommodating because this is too intense for the dense"? I like it!

"Perhaps you could pm me an explanation for your scripture interpretation, sometime in 2015."

"I am sorry, I don't have a copy of the New Idiot Translation"

"Did you learn those fine points at the Red Skelton School of Theology?"

I often want to say:

I think you are the only person in the history of the world to ever interpret that Scripture that way. What a unique perspective you have.

When will your psychiatrist be adjusting your meds again? You might want to ask him to do it sooner rather than later....

For OPs who start threads complaining about someone else's stupidity but who don't even spell their own thread title right....

BTW, this site has a lovely spell-checker feature that you might find useful. And you do have the ability to edit your OP and title...

You must have the "read-between-the-lines" Bible because I can't find that in my plain ol' Bible...

I like Himself's standard line:

"How intriguing."

A long time ago, one of my circles of friends had a silly thing we did. You use your index finger to pull down a bit on your lower eyelid and say "do you see anybody in there who cares?".

Eventually it evolved to just pulling on the eyelid and not having to say a word.

I'm just so humored that I was invited to participate in this thread. Apparently, someone feels that I need help with my snarkiness

I am wondering which comment I made that needed help or is this for help in the battling arena. Now that I have an option for this, I can't think of a single line.........

You guys are good at this!

How about, I regret that urgent matters, like dusting my fusebox, prevent me from giving your post all the consideration it so obviously deserves.
