Ohhh, the pool sounds heavenly. I wish we could go to a pool this afternoon . . . . it's so stinkin' hot.

Awww, Roberta! Just think this time tomorrow you'll be hugging your "baby"! Oh man! We got some nasty stuff going on here. Our sewage is coming out of our bathtub/shower drains. It's so gross. There is plumber coming out sometime today to fix it. It seems like something is plugging up our pipes WAY down in there because everything goes down the drain really slow. Our washer won't drain either, so I can't even do laundry yet. And, the worst part was Jimmy's bathtub seat, bathtub toys and Timmy's toothbrush was in the bathtub when all that poo water came up out of the drain. I got Timmy a new tooth brush, and I have to clean and bleach everything else. So gross!

That does sound odd Maggie since he doesn't even have to go to school until he's 8 by Sept 1

Grrr. Isaac and I are a little shaken. We were leaving the grocery store and I had a stinky cart with a wheel that kind of stuck -- I was pushing it in the parking lot, we hit a huge hole (which I didn't see) and the cart tipped over! It tipped about 3/4 of the way over -- it fell into someone's car. The lady was in the car and she jumped out and helped me tip the cart back up right and push it out of the hole. The thing was heavy with the kids/stuff in it! She was so nice, I checked her car but she said "Oh! Please don't worry about my car!" as she was sympathizing over Isaac. Poor Isaac had gotten his hand smashed between the cart and the car. He was bawling. His hand is fine, her car was fine, Isabel was like "What the heck is going on?" I pushed the cart to my car, hit another smaller hole and the cart started tipping again. I was able to catch it, and I pushed it into the store and told the manager it had a bad wheel, and that I hit a hole in the parking lot and it tipped over with my kids in it. I told her nicely, and she had a concerned look on her face but she didn't say anything, just "OK . . . .". They probably think I'm going to come back and sue them, LOL. I'm not worried about it now, the kids are fine, the lady's car was fine, and she was so kind, thankfully. Isaac cried all the way home, I think it scared him. I just wanted them to know to get rid of that faulty cart. (And hopefully the craters in the parking lot!)

ORIGINAL: isaacsmom OH, my goodness, THIS was breaking news today. (warning, it's sad). That is so sad! I can't tell you how many times I've read in baby books, parenting magazines, parenting websites that babies should NEVER be left unattended with pets! My cats loved Timmy when he was a baby, and I don't think they ever would have hurt him purposely, but I ALWAYS kicked the cats out of his room when I was putting him down to sleep. It's just what you do, no matter what, always, any cat or dog, no matter how friendly they are or no matter how much the pet avoids the baby! What in the world were those people doing when this happened? The baby had to have cried when he first got bit. Yet, another reason I always use my baby monitors! Makes me angry to hear stories like that.

ORIGINAL: Lexie You'll be OK for the court date, since you know you were well within your legal rights. Do you have to go straight to the court date or is there someone who can take care of it beforehand? When we got our ticket, I went to the MTO (our dmv) and met with a prosecutor who got rid of the ticket for me (since we were in the right) and I didn't have to take it to court. Lexie- My sister and I were looking over the ticket I was given. These are the things the officer got wrong on the ticket. 1-The time of day. (She put down one hour later than it really was, which means that I was already in church.) 2-The flow of traffic. (She out moderate, when there were only a handful of cars on the road. It was light traffic) 3-The intersection where she pulled me over. (She was off by two blocks.) 4-She put that I have brown hair when I am a blonde and it says so on my lic. 5-My height. She put that I'm 4'7", when my lic. clearly stats 5'7". 6-The spelling of my sister's name. (It's sis's car) 7-She checked the box stating that I am the owner of the car. 8-The name of my sister's insurance. I called my brother. He is a former police officer. He said that I need to take the ticket down to the police station and point out all the errors and that they'll probably get everything dropped because they don't want something with that many careless errors going to court.

Rachel - what a terrible trip to the grocery store! I'm glad everyone is ok! Does the store have it's own owner? Would you call the store owner to let them know what happened? Even though everyone is ok, the owner may want to know so they can check/replace carts. I find the managers never care about that stuff, but the owner does. Roberta - wow, that is a lot of errors! I'm sure they'd be embarrased enough to take care of your ticket! It's a good thing you checked all that (they don't put that much info our tickets but I still wouldn't think to check it all). Akeelah was supposed to start swimming again last night and then we got a call to say that there was something wrong with the filtration system so they were cancelled (just for last night hopefully). The instructor said that they were offering dry land lessons - my response - "how do you give a dry land course to a baby?" They were going to teach first aid to the parents and let the kids colour, so we didn't go. Hopefully everything is ok. We missed the last 4 days of her last lessons because she was sick, and she was making such great advances.

Well, I'm glad the plumber came Christina, hope everything is clean to your satisfaction soon. And Rachael! My goodness what a trip to the grocery store. Everyone still ok? Well, I did a few chores while Nathan was sleeping. I've been feeling so lazy lately, but Nathan must be sleeping lightly, because I kept disturbing him. Once he actually cried for a few minutes, but I didn't go up right away, and he settled down. So, now I'm being good/bad and keeping quiet here at the computer. But the laundry is up to date, the dishes are well in hand, the main living area is vacuumed and the kitchen floor is swept and mopped. There are more things I'd like to do, but the house is in basic order.

Even though I vacuumed and mopped in there, I found a little sliver this morning and I need to remop it...almost forgot. Thanks!
