I was going to post this question anyway...

There are times when this young 'un drives me to lie down and sleep (like I could almost fall asleep standing up feeling?)...

Is that normal?

I guess the point of my question is that should I just go ahead and lie down when that happens, should I push through it?

Could I be anemic?

I have never been like this, but also, I have never been this old and preggers :)

lol...
you could very well be anemic.....I would ask your dr to check for you if you feel that you are. However pregnancy itself is much harder on you as you get older. I may not be "very" old (30yo) but believe me, tiring wise, it was much easier when I was 21 then when I was 30.

me personally....when I am tired I lay down. We take a nap/rest time every day...and all of my kids go to their places. 2yo to his crib (that he can't climb out of...he is the only one that really still takes a nap every day), 3yo goes to her bed, 7yo goes to my bed (the girls share a room, but leaving them together at nap time just makes them want to play so they are split up), and the 8yo stays in the living room (he already doesn't need much sleep so if he is required to take a nap it will be 2am before he finally falls asleep at night, so he stays in there laying on the couch watching whatever I have the tv on....animal planet usually). I lay down on the couch (now with the baby) and rest...if I fall asleep then that's good, if not then I rest. The kids all know that they are NOT to get up (OR ELSE) until I tell them to...lots of training in that (well, that and this is the schedule we have always kept so they have always known it)

Scarlett....I never had even one BH with my first two pregnancies...just regular cont'x when I was actually in labor. Then with #3 I was having cont'x all the time from about 5 months on til the end. Sometimes you "feel" them, and sometimes you don't. The tightening of your stomach, if it is your whole stomach and not just a little part of it, is BH though (even if you can't feel pain or discomfort from them). Usually if it's the baby's butt pushing against your stomach it will be hard in that area but still soft in other areas...and you can pretty easily push the baby back down a little. If it's a BH cont'x though you would not be able to push the tightness away.

I hope Erin and Isaac are ok. She wasn't far enough along, just made the 3rd trimester. She wasn't due till Oct. 17th. Flint- will you keep us updated?

Praying for Erin, Isaac, family and health care professionals....

(((Erin & Isaac)))
I guess Erin would be almost 29 weeks along as she's about 4 weeks behind me! My good friends sister delivered her little girl at 28 weeks and she's a happy and healthy 4 year to date so I'm sure even if baby Isaac did make an early appearance he'd be just fine!

PL - Thanks for your input on BH, you sure are a wealth of information!

How would Erin feel about us setting up a prayer and encouragement thread for her? I don't normally frequent this thread anymore and only headed over because someone posted in the Baby Talk thread. It would be nice to consolidate updates, give her a record of the love and encouragement here, etc.

WOW! I sure wasn't expecting this when I got up this morning!! I can't believe Isaac is here already!!! I can't wait to hear from Erin!

Have I mentioned that I don't remember being this tired the first time around?? Mary got up way earlier than usual this morning and I was way too tired to do anything but turn on cartoons and lay on the couch for a while. I sure hope I get some energy back after my first trimester or I am going to be in trouble!

Baby has also decided that he does *NOT* like coffee much to his poor mothers dismay. I keep trying every other day or so hoping he will change his mind but so far it just makes me sick.

My in laws came for a surprise visit this weekend so they found out... I wasn't feeling well and the first thing my fil asks is if I'm pregnant... you aren't supposed to ask people that! They didn't seem overly excited, I think that fil kind of hoped we would wait until we are 'financially stable' but oh well. He will love the baby when it gets here.

We are going home in a week to tell my parents, I really really want my mom to be excited with me but I don't know how she is going to react. She had my brother and I almost five years apart so I'm worried she will think we should have waited. We are going to buy Mary a shirt that says "I'm a big sister!" and send her into my parents house ahead of us to surprise them.

Glad Isaac is doing so well.

Kinda bummed that this doesn't change my spot in line.

All I can say is, what a shock!! It really can happen that fast, can't it?

Well I took the liberty of officially kicking Erin off the list! She did one heck of a line jump I must say!

I just noticed, there is a HUGE gap between Jennifer and me, we need more pregnant ladies on there or I am going to be stalked for months!

Please remember that there were people between you and Jennifer, but they are no longer on the list I know you didn't mean anything by the comment, but it's a sensitive subject for many people...

I hadn't been reading the pregnancy thread much before I found out I was pregnant and had no idea there were people between us so no I certainly didn't mean anything. I sincerely hope no one was hurt by my observations.

CONGRATULATIONS KLAY AND ERIN!!! Welcome to the world Issac!!!

I will see what I can do Chelsea...lol! Even though we are not officially trying yet it is hard not to get my hopes up that it happens quickly. We had good timing once during my fertile period so maybe, just maybe. I know it is in God's hands though...his timing is best!
