Nadine, praying for the sitch. And, don't be so hard on yourself. A person raising kids and doing two people's jobs can only do as much as they can do. Without making themselves and everyone around them miserable that is. When you don't follow through, that's a sign that you're doing too much. Not that you need to pile guilt onto yourself.

Balance...it's tough to find.

okay......now you're making my heart hurt. but i totally understand what you mean. it's hard to dream. it's scary to think you may be alone...or not know who may be in the picture with you. and it just plain takes a lot out of you to get your hopes up. (at least it duz for me.)

i'm praying, friend. (((nadine)))

Thanks KJ.

I really am not feeling bad about it right now.....I've kinda grieved it, meaning, you have to grieve the fact that you will never do the things that you and your spouse dreamed of doing together. I know that those who have been divorced go throught the same grief. You do eventually dream again, alone or with another spouse, but it has not happened yet for me.

Thanks for the prayers.

Lioness - Thank you! This means alot since you are one of the people that has been affected by my "inability" to follow through. Though you have been gracious and have not mentioned it, it has bothered me alot. I am my own worst enemy. I kick myself so much there should be bruises. LOL. Those who counciled me after John died kept telling me to cut myself some slack. ( I know, old saying)

Before I change my signature, I wanted to add this. Please don't be hard on yourself. That was definitely not my intention with the signature. When you see yourself as poor, remember what Jesus said. "Blessed are the poor in spirit..." You know why.
I'm sure there are times that you feel all alone. Heck, I'm married and there are times like that for me, so I know you're dealing with them too. Just remember this (and this will be my new siggy). There is nowhere we can go that God has not already been. He knows the way.

Good heavens, Girl! Don't you let that bother you for one more second. I was having my own issues with getting it all done so, no worries on my account.

Would you or would you not understand if/when I didn't follow through on something? Of course you would, because you know how it is. Well, we all know how it is, too. You are not permitted to be any harder on yourself than you would be on me. Got it?

Nadine, I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me and I am a better person for knowing you (and all my other CW friends). What you have to understand is that, even though we may never meet, we still affect each others lives, whether by word or deed. I have had many discouraging days that were made better by my friends here. Just a little joke to lighten the mood or a deep discussion to clear my mind, those are always to be found here. And I too, am a good listener, whether I have actual answers for you or not!!!

Thanks Jeannie!

I am so feeling the love from you guys! I really appreciate it cuz I have had a rough few days. I think I am doing better though .
It's a wonder it takes so long for me to remember who is in control. Why do I carry the burden so long when I do not have to? I've been walking with the Lord for 24 years, you think I'd get this by now.

~Blessings

Good Morning All!

I just had to tell you that it was cool enough this morning to open a window and pull in some fresh air with the fan.(only from 6:00 to 6:30) It got me all excited anyway. It will still be in the high 90's today, but for a brief moment...it felt like fall.

Please keep me in your prayers this weekend. I was supposed to be in Lake Tahoe for one of my favorite events, one I looked forward to every year when I lived up there. I was also going to see some friends that
I have not seen since before John died. Circumstances, have made it impossible for me to go, so I will be missing that this weekend and hopefully not feeling too sorry for myself.

It is so funny....My niece keeps yelling at the fan when she walks by because it keeps blowing her hair. LOL. She is only 20 months old. It's kinda humorous to watch but did you ever have a day like that. When you curse the breeze for blowing your hair? Ya, me to, recently.
That must be how we look to God. LOL.

Nadine, I love being able to open the windows and let the air in!

I've been able to do that the past couple of days during the mornings and evenings.

I will keep you in my prayers for this weekend; specifically that you are very much aware of Our Lord's Comfort and Joy. And I also hope that you are blessed with a fabulous weekend.

You guys are so good to me.

I had church tonight. I think our group is going quite well. Everyone is feeling pretty comfortable and sharing openly. The leader is great and I am so glad that he is a single guy that has been through alot of the same things that the others in the group have been through. They are all (except one new person) divorced. I really can not relate to some of the things they are going through. I can relate to the single parenting issues. But, my heart is to help them to put themselves on the right track spiritually and encourage them, and hopefully with Gods help and the leading of the Holy Spirit help them to prepare for a new healthy relationship. I caught myself talking a little bit more than I maybe needed too (I really need to get out with adults more ) so I will be praying about that this week.

Thank you for all of your prayers,

Blessings,

Nadine
