Here's the story of the the technology clueless Who started a thread called Computers 101 They had lots of fun with each other Even those on the run It's the story of an ABC thread Where some singles had some parties on their own They had a cafe, swung from chandaliers and visited Tim Hortons But they were all alone! Till the one day with the one thread met the other And they knew that it was much more than a hunch That though some moved on, they were still a family That's the way they became the Computers 101/ABC bunch! You are all welcome to come and join this family Have a beverage and join in all the chat Are you confused? Then go and read our LAST THREAD Nothing else rhymes with that! I thought this thread would sneak under the re-newing radar. Drats. Now I have to go and update my subscriptions. lol Things are going well here. Nothing new to report besides me coloring my hair red! and getting settled into TX. Yesterday I registered my car and got my license, which made for an adventure of a day (not to mention adventure in the checking account!).

Well, by posting in it, you should be subscribed to it! (IF you have that option box automatically checked...) Not much new around here. Yep! Oh! Come to think of it, the tulips are coming up! HA! Kevin pointed it out to me yesterday; I didn't notice them until then. Now some of them are almost 4 inches tall!! I think they call it "spring" for a reason!

Huh? That box doesn't exist on my 'puter, unless you count the "notify me BY E-MAIL when someone replies." Yikes! I get enough spam, thank you! Busy day ... was stuck for a really long time because my key wouldn't turn ... and then my exhaust had issues. Both cost me $50 total and got me to work only a couple hours late!

It doesn't notify you whenever someone replies. The only emails I get are when I'm subscribed to an entire folder and a new thread is started. I've got hundreds of subscribed threads and only get an email when Fritz puts something in the Site Updates folder or when someone begins a new thread in the Salon Espanol as those are the only public folders I'm subscribed to.

Hi, I have some bad news to tell you and that is I lost the lease on the place we were staying at and now I'm am forced to find a new place now before June. The reason why this happened is that my brother and my mother both decided to let some ungodly influneces in the house, thus my brother and his girlfreind was having arguments left and right for the neighbors to hear. I'm very, very angry at my brother and my mother both for letting this indivsual in but they claimed they did the right thing, but I did not agree with it at all. I just have a deep hate for both of them. So I'm forced to find a place now and I know no one do not want anyone with bad credit or bad luck like I have. I don't have family to co sign because they do not care if you are in the street or not, which I am going to end up anyways or a homeless shelter because of family not caring. I just need your prayers here, because I'm afraid what I have to do next.

Gayle ... I'm so sorry that this happened. Does this mean you'll be living away from your family members? Will be praying for open doors.

Gayle, I'm sorry this has happened. I think the last time you had to move house was also because of things that were going on with your family then too? Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe, if that's the case, this might be a good thing. To be away from your family, and independant. Is there some way that you could share accommodation with somebody else? Somebody from church? Work? Somebody in your community? I hope that it all works out.

Thanks! My roomate is having fun accusing me of turning 40 ... can't seem to get it that not everybody we went to school with is turning 40 in 2008!

Melanie, thanks for the link to Picasa. Unfortunately, I have two dll files missing and can't get it to work. Trying to figure out what to do...hopefully will have pictures uploaded soon! Di, happy late birthday! Nothing much going on here. Except that poor little Josie has ear pain possibly linked to her teething (which is also causing gum pain) and a little cold. She's been under the weather since last Monday but has been really cranky today. Poor baby! Our nights have been pretty miserable. But this too shall pass. If she's feeling some better tomorrow, I will meet a friend for lunch and Austin's grandmother will stay with Josie. What a treat that will be! Oh, and I'll go grocery shopping. Yay. Yep, life is pretty hum drum around here. [;)]

There's nothing wrong with a hum drum life, Tammy....it's a wonderful time of peace and quiet. Sorry the Little One has been feeling poorly. Don't you just feel so bad for the lil' punkin when the tiny nose is all stuffed up? Hope she feels better soon! Happy birthday Di! Just turning 40? Sigh. Makes me feel old. How's life down under, Trish? You're going through Fall, now, right? Is it getting any cooler? Gayle, sorry to hear that you're in such a mess. It's hard to deal with when family members cause problems. I hope you can get past the hate, and heal. Independence away from the family might be just what you need for a while. Hope you can find a place soon. Just the usual around here, except that my back has gone into a spasm; it's been over a week now and walking, sitting, or standing is incredibly painful. I hate taking so many heavy duty pain drugs, but if I don't, I'm not functional at all. Wasted the whole weekend just lying around since it hurt so bad. Tried to get moving yesterday and take the dog for a walk, but the nerves are pinched so badly that my left leg won't swing forward when I tell it to, and I end up almost falling a lot. I'm getting desperate, I can't keep living like this. I have an appointment with a specialist, but the earliest I could get in is May 20th. I feel so old and useless and crippled. [sm=worried.gif]

Ruthie ... for the million and 57th time I AM NOT 40! How it works is this ... my roomate and I went to school together. He just turned 39 in December and is very, very VERY conscious of the fact that he is turning 40 in 2008. (Pretty much since Jan. 1.) Drama, drama, drama. Meanwhile, i was born April 11, 1969. That makes me 39, not 40. But he has it in his head that everybody from our graduating class turns 40 the same year. Never mind that a) my older sister just turned 40 and b) some of us were born AFTER January. Producing my original birth certificate wasn't even enough "proof." It was supposedly "faked." He even changed my screen saver to read, "Happy 40th birthday" and "Happy 39th birthday, Cleopatra." On to happier topics ... Tammy, I'm sorry Josie is not feeling well.

Hey everybody. Di, I'm a week older than you. I turned 39 on the 4th of April. Tammy, sorry Josie isn't feeling so well. I hope she feels much better soon. Ruthie, it's starting to cool down here a bit. It was 87.8F here today, but it's been cooler during the days. Nights are nice as we can snuggle under quilts etc. Hope your back improves quickly, Ruthie.

Oh, Ruthie, that sounds horrible! Waiting until the end of May sounds excrutiating! I hope things get better for you before you go and that the specialist can really help you! So, this time next year, we'll have a turning 40 party for Trish and Di!!! Sounds fun! [8D] You all are so sweet to be concerned about my baby. She's had a much better day...but then who wouldn't with a Granny and Mammy around?! Austin's mom and grandmother came today. His grandmother comes every Monday so I can grocery shop without having to take Josie out. I know, I'm spoiled. [:D] Today was especially nice since it was so cold--NOT a good day to take Baby out. Also, I was able to meet a friend for lunch that I haven't seen for a couple of months. What a treat!

LOL, Di - ok, ok I get it!!! You'd better hope that Jesus comes back before this time next year, or you will, inexorably, helplessly, clawing and holding on as hard as you can, turn 40. Or you could just buy one of those T-shirts that says "39 and holding". Happy birthday anyways! [;)] Actually, 40 wasn't so bad....my next will be - gasp! - 45! [sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif] Most of my relatives lived to be 89 or 90, so I will officially be 'middle-aged'. Sigh. [sm=icon_smile_faint.gif] Tammy, you're missing all the fun! I can remember working my way through the grocery store, aisle by aisle, with my child's wails echoing off the ceiling, and everyone staring. Now THAT was stressful! LOL, I'm glad you get a chance for a break and some 'grown up' talk. Glad she's feeling a little better. My chiropractor is trying to help me find another MD so I can at least get some pain-killers while I wait for the specialist. This whole thing has really got me down, as it not only hurts, but is keeping me from doing a lot of things I need to do. I've even taken to having a glass or two of wine with dinner, in the hopes that it will help me relax. It's miserable. I find a position that doesn't hurt quite as bad, but then suddenly a get stabbing pains that are so hard they make me twitch and gasp. Like someone walks past and sticks me with a knife. [:@] Anyways, enough complaining. The sun is shining, my tulips are up and God is still in control.

Drama du jour ... cel phone is missing. Wasted my lunch hour searching my car for it in the vain hope that it fell out of my purse. Tried calling it and it went straight to voice mail. Called Roomie and asked him to let me know if it turns up .. I'm betting he hasn't come out of his room!
