Focusing- I have six children, 2 are still in boosters. One of them not because of his age but his maturity. That and they are nice and lift you up to see over the seat and have TWO cup holders each! Think--- a place for your pop and a place for your fries. The kids are 17g, 15g, 14b, 11b, 10b, and 8b NC law is 8 or 80 pounds for the booster seat. My husband is #10 of 11. If you count the half siblings I have that I did not know about until I was 13 then I am #4 of 6. Otherwise I am the eldest of 3. But then I have only met ONE of the 3 halfs so..... My Kids OOps... Wrong photo... MY KIDS ~ezri

Wow Ezri, what a great group of kids! Love those carrot tops!! My munchkin loved the booster seat too - so he could see out the window better! LOL Can't blame him for that. I forget the height for boosters here in AZ, but I remember seeing a billboard last summer and thought "Wow, good thing I'm a whopping 5'1" or I'd need to be in a booster!!" I wonder if it's lawful for the driver to be sitting in a booster seat because of their height? Just something to ponder ....... If I knew how to create a cool avatar, I would make one with me in a booster seat driving a car full of kids! But, as it is, I need to rely on photos. I sure hope flowering cacti aren't offensive.

Oh, Ezri...I just love that picture of your kiddos. I've seen it before (we've talked about adoption before, I think). We still have one child, but since we adopted her she's had 2 bio. siblings born and I wanted them so bad and my hubby wasn't on board. Can't make him adopt more children, but it was so hard. He just wants to do all we can for our little girl and I don't think (because he has siblings) he understands what a wonderful gift it would be to her and them to keep them together. *sigh* Anyway, wanted to tell you how much I like seeing your big, wonderful family.

Hey Sam, without naming names, can you give a more detailed explanation. In a broad sense, kind of an oxymoron, but you know what I mean. quote:
ORIGINAL: Focusing quote:
ORIGINAL: lightshineon I am wondering what you think about avatars. Does it shape your view of the person, and how you respond to them in a post. Do you pay attention to them? Do you find some offensive? Without pointing anyone out, what types avatars offend you? If some do actually offend you. I have a reason for asking. Thank You for thoughtful replies. To answer you inquiry ....... yes, I do find some avatars offensive. And, yes, it does cause my opinion of the person to lower a level. What types of avatars offend me? Crude ones and ones that imply that the poster is very egotistical. Generally, I tend to ignore such people.

I do think that from posting in a "heated thread" or two, it is important to remember that there is a person behind the posting. I think it is nice to have the face of the poster now and then. It is easy to get a bit more aggressive to an avatar. If I only posted in the light hearted threads, I'd use more silly avatars.
