I say ya'll quite a bit, it's easier. But the apostrophe doesn't go where it should. The correct spelling of Ya'll has the apostrophe after the A, even though the the apostrophe is supposed to be taking the place of OU. That doesn't make sense, but that's the way it is.
Slang....OK, so soda is called all different kinds of things all in different parts of the U.S. Soda is soda in California, soda is Pop in Oregon, soda is just Coke in some souther states even if it's not actually cola they are talking about. Some folks say Soda Pop, and in some southern states some folks say Sody. The only time I've ever seen it called a soft drink is when I read it on a menu.
I will tell you the difference between a cowboy, redneck and white trash though. I'm sure you already know the original cowboy no longer exists today. These were men that herded cattled on the open range. A lot of movies were made about them. Today's cowboy is usally a person who has livestock and knows how to ride a horse. Not be a confused with an equestrian. The real meaning of equestion, as we all know is just a person on a horse. An equestrian (to a cowboy or redneck) is a rich person who pays someone else to take care of their horses so they can ride them for fun. There are many so called cowboys though, that don't actually have a horse or know how to ride one. I think they are in it for the look and the group. These are cowboy wannabes. They wear Wrangler jeans and cowboy hats to lure women from the bar to their Japanese pick-up truck then to their suburbian apartment. The term redneck came from men working outside and getting sunburnt on their neck. Today's redneck doesn;t necessarily work outside, but is definetely blue collar. A redneck should never be confused with white trash. A redneck earns their living, while white trash doesn't. It is common to see redneck women barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, LOL. It is common to see redneck men drinking beer on the tailgate of their trucks. You may find the redneck children to be barefoot and dirty, but rest assured they are usually well taken care of. God made dirt, and dirt don't hurt. Now on to white trash...White trash may appear to be redneck, but make no mistake about it these people do not earn their living. They rely on Uncle Sam to the point of mooching. Not all people relying on Uncle Sam are white trash though. Some people do actually need it. But, while the white trash are perfectly capable of earning a living, they choose not to. It is common to see the white trash much like you would see a redneck, or even a cowboy, but be sure to note they have missing teeth, smoke Marlboro cigarettes even when pregnant, and their children walk around in soiled diapers. Some may even be walking around in white gowns and white hoods. So, you may notice some similarities between the cowboy, the redneck and white trash, don't ever point them out, because you just might be hogtied and dragged by a pick-up truck.

Hmmm, that's not what I've been told. I've been told that ya'll is just an alternative way of spelling it.
Even Wiki has a page on y'all!!

If you asked for a soda here in the UK, they'd likely think you wanted a Cream Soda, a sweet vanilla-tasting fizzy drink.

Yes, a soft drink.
I've heard older people call it a "mineral", but you'd most likely hear it called a soft drink.

We tend to use the name of the drink ~ lemonade, orangeage, lilt, sprite, coke, cola etc ~ if we were asking for a drink, answering a question about what we'd like to drink or offering a drink.

When we want a cream soda, we call it a cream soda. Or, if you're at an Italian restaurant, it's call an Italian soda...carbonated water, cream and a flavored syrup.
What's a "lilt"? Is that the brand name of a particular soda?

That sounds really good. We don't have anything like that over here. The grapefruit soda is Squirt, but it doesn't have pineapple in it. You can buy pineapple soda, but it's usually the store brand. I'm gonna have to mix them together. I bet it's yummy!

I keep up with all the latest British slang by watching Dr. Who and Torchwood - moreso with Torchwood.
Somtimes, I may not know exactly what a word means, but I do get the general drift of it.
However, you guys could help with the definition of "snog" - is it simply a kiss?

LOL, the correct way. I heard the reason we use inches and feet and spell words without the "u" is because we didn't want to be like England when we rebelled. Not sure if it's true.

I heard that too, but not sure of the truth behind it.
I was teaching VBS one year and the lady I was teaching with spelled Saviour with a "u". When one of the students asked her about that (since she was born and raised a midwesterner) she said that she did it because she was taught that Jesus died on the cross for "u" and "u" and "u" and that personalizes the Saviour for her. Every since then, I have put a "u" in the word Saviour.

Agree with everything you said 'ceptin the y'all thang.
It's y'all cause it is you all, not ya all.
If you are from po dunk towns in the backwoods you can say you'uns instead of y'all.
It is perfectly acceptable language round those places. 
A question.
Would trailer trash be the same as white trash?
