Well thank you very much! I'm looking forward to getting back out there and singing again someday. I miss it but I sure am enjoying being home with my family! You'll see me again......promise

And we will hold you to that.

I have to say that one of the purest bass singers out there is Cecil Stringer with Spoken 4. I saw them one night in concert and their pianist said he hit the last note on the piano! Not only can he hit the low notes, he can sing smooth too. He has a great range that I don't hear with most of the bass singers out there. Something I found interesting about him was that when J.D. Sumner retired he said that Cecil Stringer and Mike Holcomb were the two lowest bass singers in the world! You can check out the quote word-for-word on Spoken 4's website . . .spoken4qt.com . . . I think it's on Cecil's bio page. He's a really nice guy with a great ability - I wish he would get more recognition for it. Has anyone else heard him sing with Spoken 4?

Thanks Daniel for being so kind to me!!!!
I don't pretend to put myself in the same category as the others who have been mentioned. I am just a preacher's kid living a dream.

to me the best PURE bass singers in the bus right now are
1.Eric Bennet
2. Jeff Chapman
3.David Hester
4.Aaron Mccune
5. Tim Duncan
6.Pat Barker

I love all of them......very much, GREAT singers, but of the 6 I mentioned, Eric is the best all around singer of the bunch. Not the lowest, although plenty low, he is just a PURE singer who happens to have a low voice.....the closest thing to George younce I have heard....

That's a pretty good list, randy, but I'd put Pat Barker above all but number 1 on your list! He was fabulous on Thursday night at NQC.

Dinana, I have to agree with you about Pat, he is fabulous!!! I wasn't at the NQC as we are on tour up north but everytime I hear him he gets better and better and he was great the 1st time I heard him!
Their latest cd is my fav quartet cd right now. I am absolutley wearing it out! The Echoes are great from top to bottom. I can't get enough of them. Pat was nominated for the Horizon Award I think? He deserves any award he can get! I am sure he will get more and more recognition and rightly so!! I try to tell him this when we work together......:)
