Thank you..

I really fell in love with these colors in this pic. Im not sure what season this would be good for. I was thinking maybe the winter but I am not sure. Would it look bad in the spring?

Those colors are gorgeous! And yes, they definitely look like winter colors. You COULD pull them off in the spring with some modifications - either replacing the brown with a softer color like a green (that would complement the blue). The brown to me would be more appropriate for fall/winter (though the blue wouldn't be good for fall..)

ANyway, that's my humble opinion. I'm no expert by any means.

That pic has a very "icy" feel - and thus why it works for winter.

If you're worried about that, you could go with more pastely green, brown, and blue.

I think part of the reason people are so sure those colors are winter is because of the evergreen plant and the christmas ornaments in the picture, however, I have seen people use similar colors in other seasons.

I honestly think a bride should do whatever she wants.....if she wants to have a christmas themed wedding in July, who cares? It's her wedding. Or, if since it is July, she wants to do red, white and blue, so what..or if she wants to wear black and have her bridesmaids in white, big deal.

Yes I agree with Jewel those same colors could be used for a spring wedding minus the plant lol and I would take the brown and maybe use a light green for spring but the brown looks nice as well...

Im having a fall wedding and I was thinking about blue and brown as my colors...although...Im not sure yet...lol

Okay today Im trying to decide about where Im having my wedding I always wanted to get married at church and I already know its avialable for the date we set... although This place is pretty nice as well...and for cheap :)

My best friend got married in October, and her colors were teal and rust. When she first told me, I thought yuck, but it was really beautiful.

What I appreciated about her wedding colors, is that she really did incorporate the rust into a lot of the wedding..I hate when people say "my colors are purple and yellow," and then all you see is purple and no yellow.

She also let us pick our own dresses. She picked the fabric, but we picked the pattern. I thought that was SOOOOOO nice of her. I would do the same thing for my bridesmaids.

My friend did that (got measurements and then went to ebay). Her dress was beautiful and she didn't pay much for it at all. Another friend went to a regular bridal store and they were have a sale on the sample dresses....the first dress she tried on was the one she ended up getting and needed no alterations (just for the bustle). They also ended up giving a discount on the discount so she paid like $600 including the alteration. It was a gorgeous dress too.

Actually it's because it can hurt the birds when they eat them. lol ;)

Hi everyone! I'm back! Still pretty busy so I'll report and post pics as soon as possible. But the wedding went wonderfully and we really enjoyed the honeymoon. Did lots of things!

Yeah fluff a date! I can't wait to see your pickings. Ha

Congrats Aisha! Those colors are very nice. Mine were chocolate brown and pink. I personally think chocolate brown is a great base color cause it matches a lots of colors and can be used anytime. It's the second color that will help determine your theme.

Yay!

That's too bad fluff. But that's ok. G-d has somewhere perfect for you!

Gonna work on creating a new blog now. Not sure if I'm going with blogger again or somewhere like facebook. We'll see.

So far I only got one PM regarding interest in 1) a newlywed "place", whether a thread or something else. and about a possible GT. Let me just go ahead and introduce those ideas here.

- The newlywed place is an idea primarily for newlyweds. I was thinking about somewhere like facebook or some other platform where we can be creative and have fun with it. Of course, we can also open it up for engaged couples.

- Both Sharon and I want to attend a Weekend to Seminar someday, maybe sometime next year. We thought it would be a cool idea to have a GT and attend this seminar. They have it in many states but some nice places would be Lake Tahoe or if you want to be ambitious, the one here in Hawaii. Even if we all can't make it, perhaps you can just check out the one in your area.

So how does this idea sound ladies? For the newlywed "place" I can try to create something and show you a sample?

Yay! Ok, I got three interests in a newlywed group so far. I think that's good enough to start a test group. I'm going to create a group on Multiply. Suggestions as to what to call it? Let's keep it for women only so we can talk freely.

I got a cute and silly title..."New Wifey Poo" LOLOL!

Don't forget to PM me your e-mail addy if you want to join if you haven't yet done so.

Anyone who is a member there can post anything there, including all the sections. For those who already joined Mulitiply, I will send you an invite. If you have yet joined, remember to send me your e-mail addy so I can send you an invite.
