Thanks! He was a really special fella and will always have a special place in my heart. His life was far too short (he was only around 10-11 when he passed from FIP).

Our cat yells at us when we come back from a trip of a few days. He meows loudly and most emphatically for several minutes.

My cat does that too, and he's really good at yelling since he's a Siamese. I figure he's saying something like: "Where have you BEEN???? Why did you go off and leave me like that? I thought you were eaten by predators!"

Munchie isn't Siamese but she's good at yelling... even if I just go out for a couple of hours...

Come to think of it, she yells at me if we're both downstairs and I come upstairs (while she's asleep) and I don't tell her...

She's fine (generally) if I tell her what I'm doing!

Our new kitten, is a brat, black with human looking eyes. He is crazy I swear. My youngest would not let him go outside until last week. He meows to come in and use the littler box (lol). I guess he does not get that the whole world can be his littler box outside. CRAZY CAT.

they love to bother me and get in my way when i am busy or just dont want them around. so i annoy them back. hug them, pet them obnoxiously, talk to them in a stupid voice, oh, and rub their fur backwards, they HATE that.

eventually they get the point and leave me alone

My cats like to annoy me. Truly, especially the kitten attacking my feet at night.

One of my cats is particularly fun to annoy. Sometimes I'll pat the top of her head just a smidge harder than she likes - pat, pat, pat, pat, really quickly. She flattens her head and gives me a dirty look. When she stands on me I tickle her "pants" (the longish fur on the back of her legs). This one is especially fun. If she's on me and won't get the hint to get off I'll call the dog over. She hates him. The second his head gets close to my lap she darts off. Poor kitty. I'd feel bad if she didn't puke all over and pee in the corner when the litter box isn't spotless.

I am the proud owner of a very ANGRY cat. She got a cut on her leg and every time we put antiseptic or liquid bandage on it, she licked it off. So we bought an E-Collar for her today and she's wearing it against her will. I admit I feel sorry for her, but her leg is never going to heal if she keeps grooming it.

Poor kitty. Munchie would be angry too.

My mother had a cat which developed an eye infection right before she was due to go away, and I was taking care of him. That kitty wasn't happy either ~ he started off being happy to have attention before and after he had his eye drops, then I had to wrap him in a towel, then bribe him with food to get him in to give him the drops. Didn't see him the last 2 days that I cared for him but he came back a day or so later (after my mother returned) and was fine.

I should have done it Friday when she first got cut, but it actually kind of healed up by Saturday and I didn't think anything about it. Later Saturday, though, I caught her licking it and she had basically reopened the wound and made it worse. I suspect it was itchy. It's not infected and I really don't want to take her to the vet, because I feel sure he's going to tell me to do what I'm already doing.

More than likely! It'll probably heal quickly now and she'll forget all about it ~ given enough time she may even forgive you! Bet she'll go running if you ever produce the collar again though!

She will probably be hard to catch if you have to bring it out again. :D

I put one on my dog once, she looked so miserable.

My mother had to use one on one of her dogs once. She managed to chew her stitches out anyway ~ and chewed the collar before getting out of it (yes, it was on properly!).

I was blessed when I went outside earlier not to only see one, but 2 cats right in my back yard! One was minding his own business. The other initially ran away from me, but when I gently motioned to him, he came up to me and let me pat him. God is good!

My cat is still sulking this morning. Her wound is 500% better, so she's out of luck; the collar is staying on. Last night I removed the cover from her litter box and made sure she could reach her food and water with the collar on. She doesn't seem to care about any of that. She's hunkering down on the bed and doesn't appear to be going anywhere. I figure if she gets hungry or thirsty enough, she'll go in the kitchen.

Well, my collared cat never got hungry or thirsty enough to get off the bed. (Did I mention she's not real bright?)

Anywho...we ended up having to take her to the vet, so now I have to cram a pill down her throat once a day. The good news is the doc says the leg healed enough that we could take the collar off.

Now, if she could just pay us back the $65 vet bill by catching wayward crickets, we would be a very happy family.

The last medicine we needed was prescribed in a cream form that we rub on the kitty's ear.

I wonder if we could do more medicines like this.
