I have a bunch of free passes to the movies and Ronnie is not going out on the road tonight, so we are going to take the kids to see "Beverly Hills Chihuahua."
I hope it's as funny as the trailer is.

It was a cute movie...lots of giggling going on during the film. I was asking the kids about their favorite parts afterward and then I asked Ronnie what his favorite part was, and he said "the credits." He's not real big on kid movies. LOL! But I loved it.

I went to a prayer service tonight for one of our church members who passed away last Friday night. I got recruited to sing....I don't mind, but it's nice having some kind of preparation time. No biggie, I'm singing at the funeral service tomorrow then going up to the church to help one of the ladies get the food ready for the family after the burial.
Busy week already.

The funeral was very nice....lots of nice people remembering good times with Mr. Ellis. It was a happy funeral. I like those. I hope my funeral is a happy one with lots of laughter.
Afterward, the kids and I went up to the church to help get the food prepared for the family. Once everyone had a plate, I got a chicken leg and piece of bread for each of the kids. I was sitting there watching them eat and Evelyn said "I looooooove chicken! You know why? Because, chicken has HAM in it, and I looooooooove ham!!!" I laughed and laughed and told her that chicken does not have ham, and that ham comes from pigs - not chickens. I don't think I convinced her.

.... move it or lose it?
The school books finally came, Beckey!  I spent about 2 hours figuring out how far we needed to be by the end of each week...
The school year looks pretty easy for Christine (8th grade) but Kendra's looks a little harder (7th grade)... and she just 'doesn't get math' very well.....
Oh yes... and the coolest thing yet.... I finally was able to get a library card (they call them Family Cards here).... so we will have a field trip to the library soon!
