Evelyn fell asleep first, then my mom came over and I told her that I thought both of them had fallen asleep. I guess Ben heard me, because he said "I'm NOT asleep! I'm not even tired!".....10 minutes later I went out to the living room to find him like that. I immediately went and got the camera.

I have a funny.... My son said oh when he was 4 or 5 he wanted to be a garbage man or a doctor.... I told him what ever made him happy....
So a couple of years later we were doing some clean up on some land we had purchased which had about a thousand 6 ft pine trees on it ... we started clearing it off by hand ... b/c we did not have the money to rent a bulldozier.... I gave my son now about 8 years old a hand saw like the ones hunters use to trim limbs with.... I kept telling him to be careful he was going to cut himself.... and sure e nuff he came to me holding his breath saying he had cut himself very very very bad.... I ask him to let me see and it was not bleeding he had just taken the skin off.... I am sure it burned .... I ask him if he wanted me to take him back to the house to fix it up and so off we went .... on the way he looked at me and said he was just so afraid all his blood was going to come out of his body... All I could say was I think you will be ok..... and to myself there goes the doctor therorymmmmm

So, I woke up this morning to no internet, no tv, and no phone (all through the cable co.), but after I showered it was all back on.

Made me think of all things I could accomplish without those three things ruling my every day. It boggles the mind.

Loved that pic of Ben asleep Beckey. That is so precious. Don't tell Ben I used precious though as boys get to an age that they don't like all those "cutesie" descriptions.

He finally saw the picture yesterday and got upset with me. He wanted me to delete it, but I told him I loved him and the picture and that I couldn't delete it. Poor thing.

Something is in the air here too. I have more sinus stuff going on, but boy howdy, it is absolutely beautiful here today and going to be all through the weekend. I sat in the car in the driveway after I went to the grocery store, windows open and breeze pouring through and ate the Pik Nik Shoestring potatoes that I got at the store. I love them and shouldn't have them but... tough patooties!!

Status: offline 		My mom used to put those in our lunches for school! I loved them!!!


We're doing fishsticks, mac & cheese, and pea salad tonight. We always eat late on Wed because of church. And we eat pea salad a lot....it's one of the few veggie/type dishes that the kids eat with enthusiasm.
