Eddie Crook and I are now listening to tunes for a Hymns-Favorites Cd. Should be pretty good. Will probably have numerous songs that we will be singing on our new TV Show. More than likely there will be at least one DVD, if not several, made available from the show, as well.

Blogged at my site about Prophets' rehearsal on Tuesday...also rehearsed again on Wednesday. Added several songs for our TV shoot
in November...back home now. There was a major wreck on I-40 only 30 miles from my house...I had to wait in the traffic for over an hour. Got home at 2am. Thanks for the prayers.

Hey friends...looking for more songs for our Nov-Dec TV tapings.
What do ya think about us covering a couple of songs
like: HE DID IT ALL FOR ME and HALLELUJAH SQUARE?
I don't consider either a "standard" yet...so they would be real "covers"
for us. I would like to hear Ed do HS and we all get in the act on the Oaks
tune. Wow...what a great one!

Paul, I like that Oaks tune. The recording on the Performance album is great! I'd say HS is pretty much a standard now, however, it's still a good tune, and hasn't been rerecorded recently, so I'd say go for it, I bet Ed would do well with it.

I'd have to agree with the others. "He Did it All For Me" is more of a cover. Is that the same song the Dove Brothers did in 2002 on You Can't Stop God From Blessing Me?
But I'd definitely have to say Hallelujah Square is more of a classic. I have something like a dozen renditions in my collection, the most recent being the Dixie Echoes' rendition that came out about a month ago on Pensacola Live.

Daniel...don't know about the tune the DB's recorded.
I don't have the album you mentioned.
I stand corrected about HS. I think of it as a Florida Boys song.
I did enjoy the DE's singing it on their LIVE Cd.
We will see how the guys feel about these tunes.
Any other ideas or suggestions?
