We are getting orders from Forum members, everyday.
Hope it's a blessing.

Thanks for the PM Qtman!

Your review of the Cd was insightful...and encouraging.
I consider it a great priviledge to stand on stage with
the "old men" as you called them. Ed and Bill are very different
people, personality wise. Both are faithful men, without question.

I don't understand what Ed is going to have to do to be honored
by someone for his tremendous contribution to Gospel music.

Maybe he will receive some kind of recognition when we sing
at the GOGR in August. He is certainly worthy.

Bill, like me, has spent most of his life serving "in the ministry"
as a traveling Evangelist. God bless him. But Gospel Music has been
Ed Hill's life. His contributions to this genre of music are far more than can be mentioned here.

I know that Mike Allen feels like I do. We both consider it an honor and a joy to help Ed carry on the tradition he built with The Prophets.

We are enjoying every minute spent with Ed, Bill and Eddie.
True pioneers and legends in Gospel Music. Amen!

I had to pass along that I was watching some classic Gospel Singing Jubilee segments last night and saw a clip of the Prophets Quartet. It had to be early '70s. Of course the only person I recognize in the clip was Ed Hill. Vintage!!

Hey Di...somehow your not having your zip code in your first email delayed your shipment. It went out Thursday - First Class. You should have it Mon-Tue. We are still having orders everyday from the forum.
I think i am going to extend my No Shipping charge offer to my blog's family and my email list.

Thanks for your interest in and your prayers for The Prophets!

Well...I see that the word is out!

THE PROPHETS' first recording since 1973, has officially been released.

The article here in the SN Wire and the release at sogonews, do a nice job of covering the basics. If you are interested, I will be posting a more indepth article at my blog...hopefully by late tonite (Sun).

Since you can't buy them in stores yet, I am going to take a leap of faith here in the Forums. Here goes!

IF YOU WANT YOUR COPY asap...simply email me at: pauljackson7@sbcglobal.net ...and send me your full name, mailing address and a phone number where you can be reached...tell me how many copies you want. I will mail them to you and pay the shipping myself. Will send you an invoice ($15 per) with the Cd, which you can pay by return mail.

THIS OFFER is being made to my friends here in the forums. So be sure to give me your forum name as well. If you want to purchase 5 or more copies (for friends, gifts, etc), we can talk about a discount via email. THANKS for your patience. I hope there is something on this unique Cd that will bless you...for His glory!

PJ / The Prophets

So many of you have taken advantage of this offer.
We have shipped Cd's to ten states.
The OFFER, above, is still good for folks here in The Forums.
God bless all of you...through the music of THE PROPHETS!

Still listening to the CD. I have it in rotation in my truck player. I heard it all today while riding around. I really like it. However, I must tell you I get a little sad when I listen to Jesus Cried. I can hear the years in Ed Hills voice and I realize another legend is getting old.

I am so blessed that the Cd is inspiring you. Thanks Sam, for sharing it here. JESUS CRIED is a special song. Personally, I think that Ed's "weathered" voice fits the mood perfectly. No argument from me about the age in the tones. Just seems to me to be a whole lot of character in those notes. Of course, a song with a title like that has to be somewhat sad.

It's kind of odd though. That particular sound in Ed's voice does not seem so pronounced when he is harmonizing. Ed is most comfortable, and most natural when he is singing "his part"...really is quite amazing! At age 74 he can still blend that baritone with just about any other singer.

Ed and Bill are old-schoolers though. They are good in the studio. BUT, they are "at home" On Stage. It is astounding what happens to them when they have an audience! Wow! It's really cool to be standing between them when that happens. They are such pros!

Thanks again, Sam. We appreciate your encouragement toward all of us old guys. None of us Prophets started singing yesterday. Personally, I feel honored to be running with Mr Edwin Hill on his "bell lap"...Amen!

Paul I can't disagree with anything you said. Being a baritone myself I have been listening closely the last few times I have played the CD to Ed's harmony and blend and you are right those years do not show up there. The old man still has it.

Well I wish you would hurry up. Seriously I am awaiting your comments. I have listened to the CD many times now and I really like it. I could not find anything critical to say.

P.S. I really tried hard.

I agree. Was not my call. We actually bumped a tune that was to feature Mike, that we had already cut a track on. Will probably be on our next full service Cd. Better keep those reasons private. But, I loved the song and the cut.

But Daniel, I think Sam is talking about what is on the Cd...not what "might have been"

Great Dee Ann!
Just send me an email pauljackson7@sbcglobal.net or pm.
Tell me how many you want. Be sure and include a mailing address and a phone #. I will include an invoice with the Cd. It's still the best way to buy. Still sending them with NO shipping charges for my friends from the Forums.

God bless you...praying for you now,

Due to all the interest in the group re-launch, the contributors to the SouthernGospelAlbums.com project selected this title for our July 2008 Mega Review.

Thanks Dee Ann...got your order for the Cd last night. Will put it in the mail today. I hope you are blessed!

We have gotten some great feedback from forum members so far. Almost everyone has mentioned that they have been touched by the patriotic tune on the project. With tomorrow being the 4th - Independence Day - I may post some of those lyrics here.

Thinking about and praying for ALL of our military personel and their families...and all of our veterans as well. G.I.MOM is one who comes to mind. I have a 55 year old man from my church that deployed for Iraq 30 days ago. He is a Col. He will be there a year. God bless 'em all.

And...GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Thanks again D!

Thanks Sam. might do that at my own blog for my July 4th post. Then place a link here.
Will have to solicit my webmasters help. I am cyber-challenged.

I just received a very moving letter from a pastor in MI who had
recently purchased our new CD. Like you, he mentioned
"weeping" and "tears" when he listened to BECAUSE THEY GAVE.
He thanked me for including a "tribute" to our US Soldiers on the Cd...especially during a "time of war"...
He also mentioned that his son is serving in Iraq.

Will you pray with me for them? PASTOR Milligan and family.

Having been a soldier I pray all the time for the men and women serving this country. I tell people I support our troops regardless of whether or not I support the conflict of those that sent them.

As it should be my brother! All American citizens should feel and act the same way, when it comes to supporting those who preserve our freedoms.

I have written my article for July 4th. My webmaster now has it...and should attach a link to the song, BECAUSE HE GAVE, in the next little while. Thanks for the idea SAM. I have discovered that not all are as enthused about a patriotic song on a gospel record, as you and I are.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
