ORIGINAL: noblesinger YankeeNut, How could Cody partner up with both Ted DiBiasi and Hardcore Holley? What'd he do - switch in the middle of the match or something? And Kofi got a little bit of help from HBK to beat Jericho. Batista really got his revenge against Edge last night on RAW. First of all, the "Jut-Jawed Jerk" interrupts JR's "Farewell Speech," then proceeds to brag about how RAW didn't have a GM (while SmackDown has "the love of his life - Vicki Guererro. BARF!!!) the Undertaker (thanks to "La Familia") or a World's Champion (same as before). As he's leaving the ring, Batista walks out and proceeds to beat the dog snot out of him, leaving Edge laying in the ring after a "Batista Bomb." As he's leaving, here comes CM Punk, briefcase in hand and a referee in tow. He tells the ref to have Lillian announce the match, the bell rings, Punk picks up Edge and hits him with the "GTS." Good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight Irene! It's all over and CM Punk is the new World's Heavyweight Champion. Sounds familiar, don't it? Edge has pullled the same stunt twice to win titles, so it's deja vu for "The Rated 'R' Stupid-star." My only question is this: what happened in the JBL vs. Punk match? My father-in-law turns out the lights at 10:00, so I missed the whole 2nd hour! HELP!! Duane Dibesi had a mistery partner and it ended up being Cody Rodes

I got to see all of SmackDown on Friday night, and I laughed so hard at the antics of Edge and Vicki that I nearly wet myself! The only thing that bothered me about his crashing of the post-match time of Hawkins/Ryder vs. Jesse/Festus was that somebody forgot to ring the bell! If they'd rung the bell, Edge would've been taken care of as bad as Batista did! And that would've been really hysterical! BTW, not that the wedding is off, is Chavo going to side with Aunt Vicki or Edge? And can Edge actually win the title from HHH if "the love of his life" isn't stacking the deck in his favor? Those are just 2 of those "things that make you go 'Hmmm'." Duane

Wrestling is a joke. I will, however, give you a recommendation of where some quality wrestling is (or was, since I don't follow wrestling anymore, I don't know where they stand). Ring of Honor. Look out for a fella by the name of Bryan Danielson. Instead of englufing in Vince McAntichrist's idiotic form of "entertainment", watch Ring of Honor. They have a YouTube channel, I think. Since I'm commenting in this thread, I'll go ahead and say, the "entertainment" aspect of wrestling left ever since The Rock changed career paths. Now it's only stupid gimmicks, little originality, and yet, people continue to eat it up. Oi vey. I don't miss being a mark at all.

I'm not sure if you paid much attention to the title of this thread, but this is a professional wrestling thread. It's not here to debate the issue, but to discuss it. In other words, we talk about what we watched. I don't mind people with other opinions in the thread, and I know that even if I did that wouldn't carry a lot of weight, but I do ask that if you're going to make a choice to open this thread, don't insult us by using names like "Vince McAntichrist". Name calling is juvenile at best. If you don't like the WWE, that's perfectly fine with me. I won't push my views on you if you show me the same respect. But then again it was a choice to open this thread, so nobody's pushing anything on you.

He's not entertaining. How can someone be entertaining when you can't understand them? When he came out last night, I started to change the channel, then I was glad I didn't. That reminded me of Chyna beating Chris Jericho for the IC title... Or was it him she beat? Nope, it was Jeff Jarrett... That was entertainment!

I believe I said in my opening statement that I was merely giving a "recommendation". My personal opinions still stand.

I won't find it, because I'm not willing to waste time on him. But anyways, The Rock was the best to ever happen to wrestling. He's carving that same path in the movie biz, too.... minus Doom.

And I hope nobody ever looks at you like that. It's not a good feeling. I know that much. Odd thing, I never looked at sharing God's unconditional love as a waste of time. I consider it a waste of time when the one on the receiving end is entirely unwilling to accept or listen to it. I'm not going to worry about one man who is unaccepting and arrogant when there's a generation of youth starving for a savior. You made your feelings clear, as have I. I don't think nothing more needs to be said about him. We clearly disagree, and I don't want an argument to begin over something as this.

The Great American Bash is tomorrow... My predictions... Triple H beats Edge Batista beats CM Punk Mark Henry beats Tommy Dreamer The Miz & John Morrison retain the tag titles John Cena beats JBL Chris Jericho beats Shawn Michaels And there's a "Diva's" match, but I could care less...

On, I think one of the espn channels during the week they replay the old wrestling matches. Pretty interesting how things have changed. Now its more acrobatics and more athleticism. Better speakeing abilities. Better plot lines. Still the same ol' athletic soap opera. The divas....its pure sexual exploitation. Its like...how many ways can we expose women and get away with it. I have always liked wrestling since I was a kid. Back then we had no cable and wrestling came to us via a canadian channel. We couldn't get it all the time so that made me want to watch all the more. It was the good vs. evil thing. Now its just entertainment without the heros and villian aspect. It seems...everyone is a villian. Its not really for kids anymore....but then few cartoons are either. Ya can't tell me Batista isn't a little...'roided up'. My wife has always liked Sting....some kinda bun fascination.

My predictions didn't hold up very well. As for the ones I got right, Triple H did beat Edge, Mark Henry beat Tommy Dreamer, and Jericho beat Michaels. However, Batista and CM Punk was a double DQ when Kane interfered. Hawkins and Ryder are the new WWE tag champs. JBL beat Cena (didn't see that one coming). And I could still care less about the Diva's championship...

My Thoughts about raw tonight: - My prayers go out to HBK right now. After the bloody match against Jericho he looks pretty bad - Can't believe Cena picked up the tag team champs (I can't remember there names right now) on his back and threw them on the mat for the win. -Loved that Santano got beat again. Weird after match stuff though. - Glad Kane and Batista got it on before his match against CM Punk but suprised that Batista still wanted to go against punk after getting chocked slammed by kane -Good match between Punk and Batista. Until JBL runs into the ring and cena right after him.

According to the WWE website, Walter "Killer" Kowalski passed away. He was 81 years old.

My Thoughts on Wrestling Right Now: - Glad we won't be seeing Edge for a while (I Hope). -" that they renstated the Undertaker - Glad Michaels decided not to retire. (Thanks to a little help from Jerico). Don't get me wrong what he did to Shawns Wife was wrong but am glad he is still wrestling though

Must have been Returm Wrestlers Night. Love that both Candis Michelle and Ray Misterio both came back tonight. Not to happy bout Randy Orton though (Liked him when he first came into the WWE but not now).

Figured I'd pop in and put in my two cents ont eh whole "pro wrestling" thing... Take any "pro wrestler" (in the WWE/ECW/TNA mold) and put them up against ANY capable collegiate or Olympic-caliber freestyle wrestler of the same weight class for a standard match under NCAA or IOC rules governing freestyle wrestling. More often than not, the "pro" will get stomped into the mat.
