Trish, only a very small percentage of Mennonites live anything close to what the Amish do. Most of South-eastern Manitoba is Mennonite and they live and dress and work just the same as you and me. We do have Hutterite colonies that might interest you. While they're anabaptist, they are followers of Jacob Hutter. Mennonites (also anabaptist) are followers of Menno Simons. The Hutterites dress in the style of peasants from a few hundred years ago and live a communal life style. Unlike the Amish, they have all the modern technologies for their farming.

Sounds interesting. If I didn't have the health problems that I have, I wonder how I'd go living those lifestyles.

They can eat at Pizza Hut, and do. Each family has its own home but no kitchen. All meals are prepared and eaten communally.

We actually did do pizza at the soup kitchen once. Tooshy  ran all over town coordinating donations from every pizza shop around that would participate. It was a lot of work for her.

The rheumatologist told me that in her opinion, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue are the same disease, just at 2 ends of the spectrum. It's possible to have both, and I hope that I haven't got both.
