Over here, there's a guy suing his former landlord for all the bedbugs that bit him.

Hi Sharon! I hope the bedbugs didn't get you!

To go WAaaaaaY back....

I am a Christian who chooses to participate in a United Methodist church as well. I choose to because the UM's don't believe that UM's are the ONLY ones who are going to "be saved" and if you are not a UM that you are lost....because to me that's just NOT biblical. It has turned me off to more than one denomination that will all remain nameless. It doesn't matter because everyone certainly has a right to believe that they want in that regard and I don't think it makes them bad people..ESPECIALLY in God's sight through Jesus. He loved us all enough to go to come to the earth in the body of Jesus and die on the cross. Anyway.... that's my story and I am sticking to it and don't mean to offend anyone.

I like Cracker Barrell... even the biscuits and gravy. But, like Sharon, my FAVORITE part of Cracker Barrell is the gift shop. Every once in a great while I will take Danielle or go with Craig to the one that is about 45 miles south of us. It's a nice treat every now and then...even though I tend to order the same entree's every time I go there. I do that with a lot of restaraunts.

Well... "HI EVERYOEN".. just popping in as fast I can tonight..which with so much to catch up on isn't fast...

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

From the International Herald Tribune, March 31, 2003 (But I have told the story for many years).

Years ago, the story goes, when people still traveled in Pullman sleeping cars, a passenger found a bedbug in his berth. He immediately wrote a letter to George M. Pullman, president of the Pullman's Palace Car Company, informing him of this unhappy fact, and in reply he received a very apologetic letter from Pullman himself.

The company had never heard of such a thing, Pullman wrote, and as a result of the passenger's experience, all of the sleeping cars were being pulled off the line and fumigated. The Pullman's Palace Car Company was committed to providing its customers with the highest level of service, Pullman went on, and it would spare no expense in meeting that goal. Thank you for writing, he said, and if you ever have a similar problem — or any problem — do not hesitate to write again.

Enclosed with this letter, by accident, was the passenger's original letter to Pullman, across the bottom of which the president had written, "Send this S.O.B. the bedbug letter."

LOL, Kerrlaw!

Apparently bedbugs in hotels and motels is on the rise across North America--even in the good places. Can't remember if a reason was given but I can't think of a worse thing to happen to any place whose business is to provide a good night's rest.

My Granny always put us to bed saying, "Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite!" My sister and I giggled like crazy. We loved hearing her say that! Of course, we had no idea bed bugs really existed; we just thought it was one of her funny sayings.

My Granny said the same thing, so did my mother.

I never got bit though.

My great-aunt told me a story about how where they lived when she and my grandfather were little there were bed bugs. She said her dad, my great-grandfather, would bolt out of bed in the middle of the night, trying to catch the bug that bit him. The way she told it, it was funny.

Um, Bed bugs eh? Whyyyyyy if I had bed bugs biting, I'd, I'd... Oh, never mind.

Hi Everyone!!

Well, there was a little excitement today when I came out of work!! Everyone I saw as I was making my way out of the building was commenting with such excitement that the Goodyear Blimp was hovering outside our building. First thought... ACCCccccK! I forgot my camera again this morning!! Double ACCCK!! The EAA AirVenture opening day was on Monday and I kept saying to myself, Sharon, DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA WHEN GOING TO WORK!! Well, it seems even I don't listen to me.

The AirVenture takes place in Oshkosh at the EAA grounds and they are only 18 mile north of my town. Our little airport takes much of the overflow of visitors who camp by their planes or stay in local hotels, and for many years the Warbirds would park their planes here after the shows in Oshkosh.

Thus the reason I wanted my camera with me, as basically the airport is across the street from the company I work for, Action Printing/Action Advertiser.
At first I thought oh well, big deal on the blimp I've seen it many times on TV, but let me tell you... when you drive right underneath that huge thing it's quite the site and feeling. So I sped hurried home as fast as the speed limit would allow , got my camera and drove back. I could see it all the way home. *sigh*

BTW, if you look around the Action site by following the tabs at top or links at bottom of page, I work in the prepress department on computer, and I also do some platemaking here and there. The people you see throughout the different links in pictures, are all people who really rallied to help me to have the hours I need and much emotional support. Many more are not in those pictures. I am so grateful. Not grateful that they aren't in the pictures! Grateful for many even though they aren't in pictures. There. That sounds better.

So that's the big moment of the day (the blimp). Aren't you glad I shared? LOL!

Same thing with me. I had heard the saying but never knew they existed until I went to this old hotel.

Blimps are cool. I saw this one several years ago promoting the 'Division Bell' concert by Pink Floyd. It is kind of surreal watching it float around so slowly around the city skies.

Must leave for work

I SAW the Divison Bell concert!!!!!! A week before I delivered BigBee (so 14 yrs ago) Mom was worried that I'd go into labor and I told her to watch the 11 o'clock news and I'd make the announcement then....

We have had TWO blimps over the plant recently. That is weird, because it is cool and innocent (you'd assume) but it still makes you wonder if you are supposed to call homeland security.

We get neat planes all the time, because we live near a few really good navigating landmarks and they will fly up to a certain point and turn (bank?) Used to have military ones often but not so much now. I wonder why. I oughta ask my Uncle cause he worked at the base in Ohio that sent them out.

Must leave for work.

Morning Sharon! Donna had pizza rolls and oreos for supper yesterday. I'm not tattling, I'm confessing a tiny twinge of jealousy. Tiny, because I don't like either of those items, but junk food sounds good to me right now.

Later gators.

We get the insurance company blimps flying over all the time, both Met Life and Horizon/Blue Cross. We also get the Budweiser one occasionally. I'm about a half hour drive from Lakehurst, where the Hindenberg burned. When I worked for Perkin Elmer there was a helicopter pad right across the street. I used to watch all the rich gamblers get dropped off for a day at the races. I've always wanted to fly in a chopper, and to learn how to fly one.

You are so funny!

I have no idea what the Divison Bell concert even is.

I don't believe I've ever seen a blimp in real life, just tv.

..... Hey Sharon!

I saw a story on the news last night about the Oshkosh thingy.... it was so interesting!!! It was a source of cool discussion for me and the girls...

... and helicopters - I think I've probably posted this several times... but hey, history is cool!

I rode in one for three days... we went from Indiana to Utah... and we got to fly over the Grand Canyon to boot!

Now.... just don't ask me how my purse fared on the first day....
