Hey Marsha . . . right now I just finished supper and am listening to Bill snore while watching the Cosby Show and playing a game of scrabble with Maggie

And I won by one point! Whew! (Linda usually beats me by 100 points)

When I play scrabble with John, I never do points. He destroys me!

Hi Marsha.
How are you???

I was thinking about you recently. Actually, I think of you every time I see the commercial. Have you sent in for your coupon for a digital converter box?? I remember you mentioned awhile back that you still use rabbit ears and were wondering what to do when Feb 9 comes around.

Hey, Trish, Linda, Mags and Christine.

Yes, chrisi, I have the converter box. I don't have it hooked up. All I need is another remote for these old, crippled fingers.

Oh good. I'm glad you got that. Get one of your boys to hook it up for you. You still have time.

do any of you recall a TV series, Hazel, (1961-62) the live-in housekeeper? It was one of my all-time favorites. I found it on Netflex and am having fun watching it. In some kind of way, she reminds me of my beloved aunt.

Oh I remember Hazel!! She is the first person that I ever heard refer to someone using their initial. She referred to her boss as Mr. B. if I am remembering correctly.
Haven't seen any Hazels for years now. Enjoy them Marsha.

Another show I used to love was "Make Room For Daddy" with Danny Thomas.

I remember Hazel too! . . . and yes, it's been years since I saw it. Was funny, tho. Remember Make Room for Daddy somewhat.

On Scrabble...I was trailing John in our last game, till I played my tiles out. He was stuck with high-scoring letters, which applied to my final score!

my eye/brain connections were always too slow for me to enjoy Scrabble.

I've felt tiured the past few days. I don't think it's the fall days, but it could be. It feels like my blood pressure could be too low or on the border.

I liked Make Room for Daddy, Father Knows Best, My Three Sons, Donna Reed,...all of the sitcoms back then.

I remember all of them -- especially liked Father Knows Best . . . and Leave it to Beaver, too! Still find it sometimes.

Leave It To Beaver had such good moral lessons! I'm just sorry Wally and the Beav always chose such corrupt friends. Eddie Haskell and Larry Montello--terrible boys!

Starring Shirley Booth as Hazel and Don DeFore as M. B if I remember correctly. I used to watch once in a while.

Wally and the Beav would never have survived in my neighborhood.

We never got those other programmes in New Zealand. I don't know they ever got them in Australia either.

i strolled up to the neighborhood grocery. 24 small roll toilet paper for $3.88. Chicken for $1 per pound. It was all. gone. The next shipment will be there tomorrow at 3pm. People are buying it by the cart full. My aide will drive over tomorrow. I'm not buying a cart load, but I plan to get several pick-o-the-chick packs. I went to Aldi last week and spent over $100. My pantry is ample, finally. Traditionally, I find myself stocking up in early fall. Though I'm not as likely to be stranded, my utility bills are much higher, plus what little Christmas we have, it's nice to have a few months to not spend much on food.

Good thing we like chicken.

Whether was lovely today; supposed to rain tomorrow. We surely need a good rain.

I also stopped at the library and got some dvd's to watch.

Marsha, that sounds like a good buy on both tp and chicken. I like keeping a well-stocked pantry.

We had lots of softly-falling rain today. It was nice, even tho I had to be out in it a bit, and got wet enough I had to change my top when I got home. I went to the library and got some more books . . can't wait to get into them tonight. Then I stopped at the grocers and picked up some milk, butter & tortilla chips. Wanted to sit in my chair & read when I got home, but had to sew instead. I did, however, get all the pants hemmed that I had to do.

Tonight I fixed us some breaded chicken patties for supper, with green beans and stove top stuffing, and a nice big salad. I'm stuffed!
