A Birth Certificate shows that we were born A Death Certificate shows that we died Pictures show that we lived! Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly. I Believe... That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do love each other. I Believe ... That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I Believe... That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I Believe... That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I Believe... That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I Believe... That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I Believe... That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I Believe... That you can keep going long after you think you can't. I Believe... That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I Believe... That either you control your attitude or it controls you. I Believe... That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences. I Believe... That money is a lousy way of keeping score. I Believe... That my best friend and I can do anything ~ or nothing ~ and have the best time. I Believe... That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up. I Believe... That sometimes when I'm angry, I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel. I Believe... That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've e learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated. I Believe... That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others; sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.. I Believe... That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief. I Believe... That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. I Believe... That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever. I Believe... Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.. I Believe... That your life can be changed in a m atter of hours by people who don't even know you. I Believe... That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help. I Believe... That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being. I Believe... That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon. 'The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything.'

25 Things Worth Thinking About 1) Give God what's RIGHT -- not what's LEFT. 2) Man's way leads to hopeless end; God's way leads to endless hope. 3) A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing. 4) He who kneels before God can stand before anyone. 5) In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma, but never let him be the period. 6) Don't put a question mark where God puts a period. 7) Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a faith-lift. 8) When praying, don't give God instructions -- just report for duty. 9) Don't wait for six strong men to take you to the church. 10) We don't change God's message; His message changes us. 11) All churches should be prayer-conditioned. 12) When God ordains, He sustains. 13) WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning. 14) Plan ahead -- it wasn't raining when Noah built the ark. 15) Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position. 16) Suffering from truth decay? Brush up with your Bible on a daily basis. 17) Exercise daily! Walk with the Lord. 18) Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive. 19) Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it. 20) Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back. 21) He who angers you controls you. 22) Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop. 23) Give Satan an inch, and he'll be a ruler. 24) Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them, and God will clean them. 25) God does not call the qualified; he qualifies the called.

Always remember.... when life hands you Lemons, ask for Sugar and call me over! Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, But you know they are always there. 'Whenever God Closes One Door He Always Opens Another, Even Though Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway' I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here than a whole truckload when I'm gone.

LEMONS and SUGAR This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read it every day. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true. 1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for. 2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way. 3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you. 4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you. 5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep. 6. You mean the world to someone. 7. You are special and unique. 8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you. 9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it. 10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look. 11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

I haven't said this enough Santa. THANK YOU for the inspirations. They continue to make me laugh and make me cry. They certainly do make me think.

Enjoy the Hot Chocolate A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups -porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite – telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said: “Notice that all the nice looking and expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. The cup that you’re drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously went for the best cups . . . And then you began eying each others cups. Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate God has provided us. God makes the hot chocolate, man chooses the cups. The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they have. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. And enjoy your hot chocolate.

OLD FRIENDS sent to me by MsJudy Around the corner I have a friend, In this great city that has no end, Yet the days go by and weeks rush on, And before I know it, a year is gone. And I never see my old friends face, For life is a swift and terrible race, He knows I like him just as well, As in the days when I rang his bell. And he rang mine but we were younger then, And now we are busy, tired men. Tired of playing a foolish game, Tired of trying to make a name. 'Tomorrow' I say! 'I will call on Jim Just to show that I'm thinking of him.' But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes, And distance between us grows and grows. Around the corner, yet miles away, 'Here's a telegram sir,' 'Jim died today.' And that's what we get and deserve in the end. Around the corner, a vanished friend. Remember to always say what you mean. If you love someone, tell them. Don't be afraid to express yourself. Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you. Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late. Seize the day. Never have regrets. And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family, for they have helped make you the person that you are today.

I received this from a friend and loved it! God's Wings - A little something to put things in perspective... After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother remained steadfast..because she had been willing to die so those under the cover of her wings would live. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. (Psalm 91:4) Being loved this much should make a difference in your life. Remember the one who loves you, and then be different because of it.

And another one from the same friend! Top 10 Predictions No Matter Who Wins the Election 1. The Bible will still have all the answers. 2. Prayer will still work. 3. The Holy Spirit will still move. 4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people. 5. There will still be God-annointed preaching. 6. There will still be singing of praise to God. 7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people. 8. There will still be room at the Cross. 9. Jesus will still love you. 10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him. ISN'T IT GREAT TO KNOW WHO IS REALLY IN CONTROL?

I don't remember if this has been posted, but I liked it. The Alphabet Although things are not perfect Because of trial or pain Continue in thanksgiving Do not begin to blame Even when the times are hard Fierce winds are bound to blow God is forever able Hold on to what you know Imagine life without His love Joy would cease to be Keep thanking Him for all the things Love imparts to thee Move out of 'Camp Complaining' No weapon that is known On earth can yield the power Praise can do alone Quit looking at the future Redeem the time at hand Start every day with worship To 'thank' is a command Until we see Him coming Victorious in the sky We'll run the race with gratitude Xalting God most high Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but... Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!
