This is amazing - but then so is our Eternal God! _______________________ Accuracy God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs. For example, the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days; those of the canary in 14 days; those of the barnyard hen in 21 days. The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days; those of the mallard in 35 days. The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven). God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs. For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily. The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first. A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first. God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains. Each watermelon has an even number of strips on the rind. Each orange has an even number of segments. Each ear of corn has an even number of rows. Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains. Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number. The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather. All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold - all even numbers. God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linneus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!

Amazing information. Who in the world can look at these things and still say there is no God? Baffles the mind don't it.

Concentrate on this Sentence "To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did." When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence... "The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you."

(Yep, I'm gettin OLD too) Received from a friend: One day I had a date for lunch with friends. Mae, a little old ' blue hair ' about 80 years old, came along with them---all in all, a pleasant bunch. When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Mae who said, ' Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate. ' I wasn't sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast. 'Along with heated apple pie,' Mae added, completely unabashed. We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time. But when our orders were brought out, I didn't enjoy mine. I couldn't take my eyes off Mae as her pie a-la-mode went down. The other ladies showed dismay. They ate their lunches silently and frowned. The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Mae. I lunched on white meat tuna. She ordered a parfait. I smiled. She asked if she amused me. I answered, 'Yes, you do, but also you confuse me. How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible? She laughed and said, with wanton mirth, 'I' m tasting all that is Possible. I try to eat the food I need, and do the things I should. But life's so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good. This year I realized how old I was. (She grinned) I haven't been this old before.' So, before I die, I've got to try those things that for years I had ignored. I haven't smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many books I haven't read. There's more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead. There are many malls I haven't shopped. I've not laughed at all the jokes. I've missed a lot of Broadway hits and potato chips and cokes. I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face. I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His grace. I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most. I haven't cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind in my hair. I want to fall in love again. So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I'd say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart's desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired.' With that, I called the waitress over.. 'I've changed my mind, ' I said. ' I want what she is having, only add some more whipped cream! ' Be mindful that happiness isn't based on possessions, power, or prestige, but on relationships with people we love and respect. Remember that while money talks, CHOCOLATE SINGS!

SHIPWRECK A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse ! but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren. After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the island. On the other side of the island, there was nothing. Soon the first man prayed for a ! house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, 'Why are you leaving your companion on the island?' 'My blessings are mine alone, sinc! e I was the one who prayed for them,' the first man answered. 'His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.' 'You are mistaken!' the voice rebuked him. 'He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.' 'Tell me,' the first man asked the voice, 'what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?' 'He prayed that all your prayers be answered.' For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us. This is too good not to share. With obedience come blessings. My prayer for you today is that all your prayers are answered. Be blessed. 'What you do for others is more important than what you do for yourself'

Heard this at our revival last week. A man was walking down the road with a double edged axe when a raging pit bulldog started chasing him trying to bite him. In self defense he swung the axe therefore killing the dog. The owner came running up saying "Why did you kill my dog? Couldn't you hit him with the handle?" To which he responded" I would have if he'd try to bite me with his tale" His point being, To attack the strongholds of sin in our lives we need to use the word of God which is sharper than a two edged sword. We don't need to hit it we need to destroy those strongholds.

Take Time Out to Chill Out “In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” - Isaiah 30:15 “You should never take on more work than you can cover in believing prayer.” - Dr. Alan Redpath In our “always in a hurry world,” it is even more essential for us to take time out to recharge our spiritual batteries. We do this by taking time to pray (how we talk to God) and read the bible (how God speaks to us). Having a few moments for your daily devotions will give you the strength and encouragement you need today. Jesus did this often. In Mark 1:35, it states: “Very early in the morning while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.” Wow! If Jesus needed to do this, how much more do you and I? Take time today. Remember: “Praise the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” (Psalm 68:19) Jerry Hyder Associate Pastor, Adult Ministries First Baptist, Sevierville, Tn.

You have to listen very closely to hear the voice of God. This is beautiful. Whispers The man whispered, 'God, speak to me' and a meadowlark sang. But, the man did not hear. So the man yelled, 'God, speak to me' and the thunder rolled across the sky. But, the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, 'God let me see you.' And a star shined brightly. But the man did not see. And, the man shouted, 'God show me a miracle.' And, a life was born. But, the man did not notice. So, the man cried out in despair, 'Touch me God, and let me know you are here.' Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man. But, the man brushed the butterfly away ...and walked on. I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted .... even in our electronic age. So I would like to add one more: The man cried, 'God, I need your help!' And an e-mail arrived reaching out with good news and encouragement. But, the man deleted it and continued crying . Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect. Have A Happy Day!
