Blessed that my husband got to keep his job so we didn't have to take our kids out of their Christian school. The company announced that 300 jobs were going to Germany, and his was one of them, but he was able to make a lateral move within the company. We had told the kids that if that didn't happen this summer, we were going to have to return to homeschooling. Homeschooling is a wonderful thing, and I very much believe in it, but my 2 younger children didn't like it (my oldest graduated from homeschooling), and it was important to my husband and myself that our children receive a Christian education. When we found, without looking, a school we liked--my daughter practically plead to go there, and it seemed like a wonderful school-- I went back to work so they could go starting last year. And then this happened with my husband's work. We didn't think that with 300 people scrambling to stay working, he had a chance in the world of finding a different job within the company before the summer was out. A job outside the company would probably have involved a pay cut because he'd have lost his seniority. But no matter how remote the possibility looked, God did it for us. The kids started back to school yesterday!

Blessed by the three fawns that relax in my back yard. Also blessed that they clean up under my fruit trees and leave the veggie garden alone because of an electric fence.

Blessed to have Christian friends who came over tonight for fun, and fellowship. My dh and my friend's husband wanted to watch a race, and the rest of the family came along just to visit with the rest of us, and it was an awesome blessing!

This was the first Sunday for our new pastor. What a blessing that God has brought together the right pastor and the right body of believers to partner together to advance Christ's kingdom here in our town and beyond.
