Do you like autumn? Why or why not? Yes, but I like it better in different places because of the colors and the fallen leaves. Choose the answer that best fits you/your life; fill in any blanks: 1. When I wake in the morning, I am crabby until 10am and coffee. 2. I love life, but I love life most when I'm with loved ones and outdoors. 3. If I could have a second life as myself at my age, the first thing I would change is my body. More physically fit. 4. If I could have a second life as myself at my age, the major thing I would not change is my husband. 5. But if I could choose to live a second life as a Bible character, either gender, who is was not born of a virgin , I would be the OT judge who was a woman (forgot her name)because I just don't have the personality to be a man or to follow one around the way they used to do. I think I'd be a sensible and fair judge. 5 questions: 1) I've always wondered, what is the meaning of your name? 2) what is one of the best things you have accomplished? 3) are you sad a lot? 4) what kind of music do you like? (or do you play?) 5) do you paint or draw and if so, what are your favorite subjects?

GOTTA ANSWER THIS! 1) I've always wondered, what is the meaning of your name? Abiyah is pronounced with a V-sound -- ah-vee-YAH, and it means G-d is my Father. I love that name. 2) what is one of the best things you have accomplished? My wonderful children, now in their mid-thirties -- that I could have been chosen to give them birth amazes me to this very day. 3) are you sad a lot? NEVER!!! 4) what kind of music do you like? (or do you play?) I am more of a singer, and I enjoy singing the songs we sing at worship as well as spirituals, blues, and anything funny 5) do you paint or draw and if so, what are your favorite subjects? I draw, and almost invariably, I draw people I know. I strongly like . . . . dislike 1. Vegetable 2. Meat 3. Color 4. Clothing (on anyone, not just yourself) 5. Bad habit (anyone's not just yours)

Were you impressed or unimpressed with the way the Gustav evacuations were handled? 1. About 90 minutes total. (I was busy most of the nights and only watched the speeches I was interested in.) I watched them on youtube. 2. Probably about the same - 90 minutes. I don't have a lot of time and I'm interested in a couple of speeches, but not all of them. I'll probably watch it on youtube or on cspan's online archive. (I love cspan). 3. About 30 - 45 minutes. I was pretty busy. 4. No. I went to work and did my homework. 5. I don't know if impressed is the adjective that I'd use - but I was glad that people were evacuated and we didn't have a repeat of Katrina. Maybe a better adjective for me is I am relieved at how it was handled. Here are the questions 1. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? 2. Are you now doing something similar or different? 3. What are three things that you'd like to do or accomplish in the next 10 years? 4. What are three things about yourself that you like? 5. I draw very well, I enjoy my job and am good at it, my honesty 5. What is the greatest gift that your parent(s) gave you? Life. Again, I hope that isn't a cop-out, but the home was abusive. If Crosswalk were a congregation, what name would you give it? 4. What person would you wish to lead/teach this Crosswalk congregation? 5. What would be this congregation's theme song?

Okay. Perhaps that was a bad set of questions. Let's try this set. You have heard these sayings before, but replace the underlined words with a word or words other than those that were originally there. 1. "Lost time is never found again." — Benjamin Franklin 2. "A lie told often enough becomes the truth." — Vladimir Lenin 3. "An object at rest will be in the wrong place." 4. "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." — Robert A. Heinlein 5. "It is a cliché that most clichés are true, but then, like most clichés, that cliché is untrue." — Stephen Fry
