.... just popping in here real quick...
Hugs to DS, Reach (love your pic!), and Trish.
Today is the first day of school.... for our campus and for my girls...
Everybody is running around here on campus scrambling to get the first classes going....
.... but my thoughts are with the girls.
I went out to the bus stop with them and waited.... they were nervous... but the bus driver was very very cool....
I really hope they have a good day....
Also... Dave has a Dr. appt. today in Shreveport with a neurologist... it should go well.... just another day of travel for him....
It is sunny here today.... just lovely.
One of the professors spotted a loon in our pond on Friday.... 
I also was able to catch up on phone calls with two friends this weekend.... I'm glad....
I'm blessed by you guys.... truly.

Well... I've come to report that the first day of school was a catastrophe for the girls...
We all ended the day in tears... and after talking it over with Dave at length... we have decided to home school the girls...
It will be tough... but we will have my mom's help.
We are all excited about this new adventure!
I find it interesting that the few people I've told have had negative reactions to the news...
So.... in that light...
If you want to say anything about it in this thread.... than I welcome your positive encouragement!
It would be sooo cool to be a stay at home mom.... Kudos to those who can and make the sacrifices to do so!

Yup, it was with Levi. And I know many will be praying as we go in Thursday. It's just...well, pain ain't fun. LOL But we'll have a great reward at the end of the day, I'm sure. I can't wait to meet this little one, and for you to all know what gender he or she is! LOL

That is soooooooooooooooooooo awesome about the homeschooling thing!!!!! (I know here in Florida you can be dual enrolled, in high school and Junior College.......my little sister graduated w/her AA degree when she was 17.)

Good to see you guys here... I actually stopped by Donna's thread to see how she, hubby, and kiddos... I got caught up and then didn't have time to come back!
Rosie... the schools here have Dual Credit enrollment, too... it happens to be part of my department.... It's soooo cool to see students really digging that program.
Sharon, your comment about getting a cushion for your knees made me think of Dave... he has one he keeps under his couch.... I don't come from a family who prayed on their knees.... Dave does... so I am learning to pray like that too.... and soooo blessed by it! (wait... as I read back.... I think you may have posted that comment in another thread!)
At lunch time.... the girls here and I laughed about my boss.... not at her.... but it was just a little heart warming to know that I am not crazy!
I had to laugh at Lisa Lisa yesterday.... she sent me a pm saying to watch out because Gustav was coming my direction.... so I did a CW search on Gustav.... I was freaking out because I was SURE I haven't been flirting with ANYONE lately!! 
The storm, R8ch... the storm Gustav!
I don't get how tropical storms and hurricanes can last so long! They are saying that Gustav may reach us early next week..... how in the world do they last so long!!!????
I'm hoping for a day or two off from work!!!
Mom emailed me this morning.... she is planning on coming down for a visit before she actually moves.... she mentioned that she would be staying with me....
.... uuuummmm..... I don't think she realized that I don't have a couch yet.... goodness... I don't even have a grown up bed yet!!! lol!

I think it's great that the girls are going to be homeschooled! I know you were really not happy with the school the kids were going to. Excellent!

..... we are almost all packed. Tonight we are heading north.... I'm looking forward to a wonderfully long weekend!
Oh yes.... Dave's Dr. appt. with the neurologist went well... there is no neurological damage from his surgery! The doctor said he was very lucky... he told the doctor he was blessed.
Dave is also learning the ropes at the prison... and having a wonderful time each time he goes. They are hoping that he will set up and run a Celebrate Recovery class for the inmates... Cool Stuff....
