ORIGINAL: Heavendweller Sammy, I'm a bit confused. From reading your comments on the Calvinist/Arminian thread, you are Reformed in your thinking. You have defended the Calvinist position on more than one occasion. With that in mind, how can you worship with Pentecostals? And as far as speaking in tongues goes, you won't find that practiced in a Reformed Church, whether it be Baptist or Presbyterian or the Chistian Reformed Church. HD A number of Pentecostals happen to fall within an Arminian theological view. But that doesn't mean being Pentecostal is inseparable from being reformed in doctrine. I for one would consider myself a typical garden-variety reformed-minded person, yet I've also been through a Pentecostal journey and have not abandoned the former. I guess "Convergence" by Sam Storms would help one get a feel for how this is possible.
