I had it with this single stuff!! I want a concert-going hubby!

I'd marry you Tina but you are two states away!

LOL! Not one for long-distance marriages, are you then?

Well, I've never tried the long-distance marriage thing before though I did have a long-distance dating relationship once. Remember, I was in the military for 20 years!

I didn't mean to scare anybody.....clearly, I did! It is only a figure of speech, I assure you! It WOULD be my dream come true, though!

Jeff--I guess 20 years in the military would qualify for a long-distance relationship for sure!

Tina, we have to get you to one of the L5 Celebrations. You wouldn't be able to sit down with all of the guys at once but you would get to spend a considerable amount of time talking with each one individually.

true, true. Also Sony and I could go once we find a concert that works for both of us!

I'm still hoping for that. I am thankful that I have had artists pay attention to me and not seem threatened but I try hard to treat them as people and not come across as a crazed fan. I haven't always been successful but I do try. The hardest part sometimes is knowing what to say. I hate talking just to talk since I then end up saying something stupid which is NOT what I want people to remember when they think about me!

I do that all the time! You get used to it after a while!

I'm not a crazed fan, but........ OKAY okay, that was a bad choice of words ......I wouldn't actually kill to have that opportunity . I would travel many miles to, though!

I don't know. What is the farthest you have driven?

Sorry, I couldn't pass that one up!

The furthest I have driven is one hour. Guess L5Ropeholder is the crazed fan.

Then I am definitely more crazed than you are since I have driven more than 3 hours on at least three occasions!

I know, I walked right into that one!

I guess I am a really crazed fan. We never drive less than 4 hours each way all in the same day. At least when we get there there is the "Grand Buffet", all you can eat for $15. Not bad.....

The furthest I've ever driven is 125 miles...my wife and I are willing to go further for a BIG event like one of the L5 thingies, but my wife is a school teacher and they always seem to fall during an important time of the school year. One days were gong to say, "Lets just go for it."

I suppose I could be considered a crazed fan. I'm sure that if they ever posted on here, Scott Fowler, Frank Seamans, and Tim Parton would verify that too!

We drove 4 - 5 hours to see the Freemans one time but that was a case of feeling like God wanted us there and for my whole family to be in agreement on that, it had to be God! Typically, the furthest I travel is an hour but even then I have to weigh it. I sometimes feel like I'm not as big a fan as I think I am but I try to be led by the Spirit and even though I may really want to go to a concert, I want to be sensitive to His leading and to the needs of my family.

I know that Scott H. and Fowler at least read these threads, and most likely this thread most of all, so they probably have wondered about many of us....

I got some news. I am going to be moving next month, so I will no longer be 15-20 minutes from my usual L5 concert. It will be closer to an hour away now. But the Spring Arbor one will still be about an hour away, so that's good.

EDIT: Oh yeah.....I'M BUYING A HOUSE!!! YAY! It's a nice modular, actually. When I get some pics I might post them, uh, maybe.

Congratulations!

Yeah, that's worth being a half-hour farther from your favorite concert.

Good news! I just checked with Mapquest, and it routed me the way that I would take (imagine that!) and that is only a 32 minute drive, not an hour! Could be an hour if I get hung up in heavy traffic, though.

No wonder we haven't gotten invitations backstage!

Tina, congratulations on your new place. That will be nice.

Thanks! I'm pretty excited! And nervous.....this is the good kind of nervous, though, like when you know it's God's will but you are just afraid of change. Know what I mean? In another thread--not this one--I'll tell you the interesting story behind how I found it.

I just have to decide which thread. It would get lost in the palaver thread..... How about in my GOOD NEWS thread?
