This is from the latest Legacy Five News Letter... "...we're...putting together the digital download option as we speak. It should be up and running in the next few weeks. Artists have been slow to offer this option because of the technical difficulty of setting it up on the website, but we've recently purchased the special software to make downloads available right from the webstore... so be watching for it!"

Tina, the special they have on their website is the same one that I got last weekend: the God's Been Good and Tribute To Roger CDs, Live At The White House DVD, and the Hello After Goodbye book.

Well, we see them July 26 . I am trying to get the cash together for the trip. The gas prices are going to be the killer. We just paid 4.25 a gallon, and that was the cheapest in the area. When we gas up upstate it is about 0.15-0.25 higher than we are. I don't like now memorizing all the songs before a concert. I always enjoy a concert so much more.

At the last L5 concert I want to earlier this month, we had the time of our lives. I took my parents and my sister, who haven't seen them in a few years. This was there first time to see them without Roger. It was a little hard for my mother at first, but she quickly fell in love with Tim. As always, Glen made it a point to come talk to me. (I usually don't bother the guys at the table because they have enough to deal with ) Anyway, Glen had never met my mother, so I decided to embarrass her a little. I told Glen, with my mother standing right there, that my mother was on a LOT of medication, and was afraid to leave the house. I said the only way for me to get her here was to promise her that they would sing I Stand Redeemed. Glen and Big Scott just laughed. They closed the night with that song! Now I don't know if they already had it planed, but it sure made my mother’s night. She's still talking about it. As I left, Glen told me to tell my mother "bye" for him. edited for TYPO

Good story! But, is your mom really medicated? If I told a story like that about my mother I may get flattened! LOL I did make my mothers night a few years back. She LOVES when Glen sag He is To ME with GV. Well, we were blessed to have been able to see them together in concert. So, I figured how often will that happen at least around here. So I asked Rodney or Gerald and they only replied with one word, absolutely! Only thing, Glen was nowhere around to be asked. I said to him later I hope he was ok with it, but replied that he was, although it had been a while since he sang it. But it meant the world to my mother, she just LOVES that song.

No, my mother is not on medication. I'm always trying to pull something over on her, so she is used to it. LOL Glen is always such a nice guy. I don't know why, be we hit it off very well with each other. I try not to talk about music or anything like that. We usually talk about our kids and family and other things. I'm a computer technician, and I know that I don't want to talk about computers all the time, so I try to keep the conversation more casual. Another guy who is really neat to talk to is Jason with GV. My wife and I went to a multi-group concert once in Monroe, LA. (Glen and Big Scotts hometown) We really didn't care about seeing any artist other then L5 and GV. Well, the concert was advertised to start at 7:00 but we found out when we got there that the concert in fact started at 6:00. We didn't have tickets, we were just going to pay at the door. When we walked in, Glen stopped us. He was not happy. He said, "So I guess you two thought it started at 7:00 too?" Before we could answer, he said "My friends and family that live here thought the same thing." He knew that we were there to see them and GV, so he said, "Don't bother buying tickets. We're already finished. Just hang out with us." So we did! It was awesome. Anyway, we ended up sitting with Jason and talking with him. He started telling us road stories and he was laughing as much as we were. Then a married couple came up and just looked around at the product table. They didn't say anything...just looked for a while and walked off. Jason looked at us and whispered, "These people follow us everywhere we go. They never go into the concert...they just hang-out in the lobby. They won't speak to us or ever buy anything. I don't know about you, but I find that a little odd." That statement stuck a cord with me. We seem to only see (or want to see) these singers as just that, only singers. We tend to put them up on a pedestal and not see them for who they really are. Just "Everyday People". Now when I see Jason or Glen, I see someone who is just like me. (But with a pretty cool job! )

Wouldn't I kill for such a wonderful opportunity!! Was it while Roger was still alive? It's more difficult for me to get such opportunities because I am single. Couples can do stuff like that, or at least a man (seeing it's guy groups) but single women cannot! I had it with this single stuff!! I want a concert-going hubby! Sorry. Had to get that off my chest.

They know we're not "hitting" on them!

Had to get that off my chest. Yes, Roger was still alive but he was too sick to be there. I did have an email conversation with Roger about that concert... My mother was about to have her 50th birthday, so Trish and I were on a secret mission. I emailed Roger that morning to ask them to sing "Happy Birthday" to her on video. I thought it was a shot in the dark. But a few minutes later, Roger replied saying that it was OK and that he would give word to Scott. A bunch of wonderful guys they are! Tina, I know what you mean...I was married at 30, so I did the solo thing a lot. It is a lot more fun when you have someone to share the experience with.
