I've never heard of it.

It's the last book in Karen Hanconck's "Light of Eidon" series. there are four all together. They're fantasy/allegory.

I'm still reading Son of a Witch...and I finally got motivated to finish The Poisonwood Bible. (Even though I've already read it half a dozen times. ha ha)

Oh yeah--and I started The Kings of New York, about kid chess players.

It has been very good thus far, but I'm guessing it will be very difficult for me to pick a favorite of the four. They have all been so well written. I'm finding myself reading this one more slowly than usual because I know it is the last in the series. [sighs]

Finally finishing up Miriam Toews' "A Complicated Kindness", a Canadian novel about the hardships of a Mennonite family living in a fictionalized border town. It is told from the perspective of the teenage daughter of the family, so it took a while for me to warm up to the informal delivery, but I really like it.

I just finished Bondage Breaker-Neil T Anderson, which was a great eye opener for me. I am about to start Kirk Cameron's auto, and have been in and out of A Tale of Two Sons-John MacArthur.

I've only read excerpts of Neil Anderson, but I'm thinking I might actually read a whole book. The older I get, the more his viewpoint rings true.

It was dead in the store last night so I took Davis Bunn's new release, "All Through the Night", off the shelf figuring I'd start it and then pick it up next week. But two hours and a hundred pages later I had to buy it. That guy can just plain write!

I still need to finish it, but I quite enjoyed it.

I'm now reading Jane Austen's "Persuasion"

I've read all of those and his books about Alex Cross. I read 7th Heaven a few weeks ago. I like his fast-paced style. It's hard to put any of his books down.

I just got finished reading Black Like Me]. Always heard about the impact it had when it was published as a serial. Wanted to find out what the fuss may have been about myself.

Recently finished God's Grace and the Homosexual Next Door. I highly recommend it. It gives you a much better perspective of the people, and the difference between saved and unsaved, instead of focusing on orientation. One of the problems with homosexuality is that Satan gets people to see their identity as that of a homosexual, and when the Church goes along with that, we are doing Satan a favor instead of seeing people through God's eyes.

About to read: The Mystery by Malette and Norman. I heard Dwayne Norman speak in the late 1980's and it has impacted my Christian life ever since. My pastor has read this book and says it gets repetetive, but I think it will be worth it.
