Hey Amy, haven't been doing much. I've had a bit of the flu, so just been taking it easy. Started back at the gym this week. Have my next session today. What do you do in Adelaide?

I'm a personal assistant at a small accounting firm. I've been there about 10.5 months now...it's my first full-time job and I'm quite enjoying it. I started as receptionist in August last year and moved up to PA in February.

Hi Trish. Work has been a bit busy for me lately, but I'm keeping up. On the Friday night I caught up with my cousin and we had dinner and went out. It was fun! On Saturday night I went out with Jesse to an end of financial year dinner for his workplace. That was fun also. On Sunday I didn't really do a lot. I set up my new laptop (oh, yeah, I got a new laptop - dad's having my old one) and some friends came around and we played Guitar Hero III & Mario Party 8 on my Wii. Tonight I'm having a few friends around for dinner for my birthday (Yay, I'm 19) How have you been Trish? Have your test results come back?

Happy birthday! I hope you have had a great birthday. Test results, but showed nothing. I've been trialling meds, but the ones I'm just about to start won't start showing any effect for 3 months.

Hi people hows it going out there? There have been some awful deaths in australia this last week. So sad to see it happen. Sometimes i think AUstralia is immune to all that stuff but when you get it all happening in a week or so you know you arent immune. We are in the middle of a hot and then cool summer - quite unpredictable. I went to a kids Bible camp yesterday to help with the admission of kids (as I am a nurse) and then was happily reunited with my boy. Ahh he is such a treasure esp when i havent seen him for a whole day. Hope you are doing well and that the treatment works, Trish Stay safe Joyce and my singing, book reading boy

Joyce, I totally agree with you about the shocking deaths in Australia lately. I don't know how people can treat each other with such disregard. It's really quite sad. You wonder where help could have come from to stop the deaths from happening. Did you celebrate Canada Day? I hope all is going well with the bible camps. How's everybody else doing? What have you all been up to?

Oh, I forgot to say, I'm STILL trying to find somebody who will diagnose fibromyalgia. Seems to me, other countries accept it more as a condition than Australia does. Got in touch with the arthritis foundation and hopefully they can help me to find some help. Gonna be thunderstorms, hail and lightning over the next few days here. We sure do need the rain.

Hi Trish, sorry there's still no luck with the diagnosis. It's been pretty miserable down here for the last week. A little sunny on the weekend but mainly clouds. Top of 12 today and 13 tomorrow...it's freezing! But at least there's rain. Hopefully it falls where the farmers need it. This weekend was my last free weekend until the middle of August! I have 1 21st every weekend for the next month, it's crazy. Everyone's having birthdays all at once, I think I need to go present shopping.

Things have been pretty cool here too. The last couple of mornings it's been 0.7 degrees. A lot cooler than it normally is. I'll be glad when the temperatures warm up a bit, but not too much. I don't handle hot weather well, but then I also don't handle cold weather either. Really cold weather really causes pain with me.

It was so freezing yesterday! And the power went out for about 40 mins around lunch time. Not 100% sure why, either, it wasn't stormy or anything. But not having heaters going for that time was noticable. And the fact that it's all cloudy and raining outside meant that it was very dark. I moved into the board room temperarily as there was more sunlight than by my desk. It's generally 6* when I get into my car in the morning. And according to the weather report we've had over 50ml in the last 2 days.

6 degrees feels really warm here in spring after a long and snowy winter. YOu hope for that temp so the snow can melt and signs of spring appear. I always makes me smile how a temp like 6 can feel really warm at the end of winter while decidedly chilly in summer Joyce

And down to 4* on Sunday morning. I don't mind it being warm, but I don't like it when it's hot. Actually, extreme temperatures don't agree with me. Joyce, how are things going with your son?

HI peoples (i always want to say girls or ladies but dont want to isolate the male population) my little son is doing very well. He is totally toilet trained which was a huge undertaking. He got 2 needles today which i wish now i had put off but they are done now. He is pretty anti the nurse who did it now but he will get over it and hopefully he wont need to see a nurse for a while - although i am a nurse too:) He really is a delight and i feel sad for those that cant enjoy him esp my siblings - i would love my sisters to see him and enjoy his personality. But hopefully by the end of the year we will be heading out your way so he can meet the clan. Of course i can be really positve about him as he sweetly tucked in bed and sleeping. Well people stay warm while i enjoy the fresh breeze of my house JOyce and my sleeping son

Hey Trish and Joyce. I had to go into hiding, it's so cold!! Nothing really new for me. I've started my massive amounts of 21sts that I have to go to in the next month with 1 last weekend (plus a 19th & a joint 18th). Seriously, it's like everyone was born in the months of July & August! I'm going to 2 21sts this Saturday, then I have one on the 26th, 2nd, 9th & 16th! I think by the end of this I'm definitely going to be all partied out. I'm glad to hear everything is getting there with your son.

Hi Amy. January and July are like that for me. So many birthdays that you'd think that everybody was born in those months only. I know they're not, but it sure seems like it. I'm extremely broke those months for all the birthday presents! Did I tell you that I finally got an appointment with a rheumatologist who specialises in fibromyalgia? I'm so glad to finally find somebody who actually believes it exists and won't think I'm a nutcase when I talk to her about me wanting to get diagnosed. The appointment isn't for nearly a month though, but at least it's finally coming! YAY!

No you hadn't, but that's excellent!! Finally someone who will understand what you're going through. I pray it all goes well for you. Yes, I'm feeling a bit broke at the moment with all these presents (only 2 more to buy) but Jesse should be giving me his share when I ask for it - probably $100. It probably doesn't help that I keep buying things on eBay...but it's so cheap!! I'm also going to buy tickets for the Billy Joel concert in Adelaide November 26...I mentioned to my friend last night and she said yes before I even told her the cost of tickets, and even then she still said yes. We're both willing to pay $170 to see this man in concert. It will be awesome.
