I think the low fat hype thing is everywhere.

I'd love to go to Canada some day.

Where would you like to go in Australia, LL?

I think the problem is the generally laidback culture.

Hey guys, how are you going?

I haven't been on here in a while so I thought I'd pop in and say g'day.

I've been extremely busy with work (got promoted to Personal Assistant!!) and we lost 2 staff in one week so it's been really hectic. In fact, I don't think I've spent more than an hour at home before going out/to bed since Saturday last weekend...and that won't be happening until Wednesday (hopefully!) And next weekend I'll be away for an 18+ Christian camp (in the band - yay!) so I don't think I'll be stopping anytime soon.

Well, had best get back to work...my lunch break is over!

Hope you're all well!

Hi everybody. Sorry I haven't been around so much.

It's a long weekend here in Perth. Just taking it easy myself.

How are you all doing?

Hi Trish!

I'm not doing too badly actually. We've got a long weekend here in SA for the Adelaide Cup this weekend...then the Easter long weekend 2 weeks later! I'll be glad after this weekend though once the Christian camp is over. I won't have to worry about band practices after work any more and perhaps my life will slow down a bit.

How are you Trish?

Hi Amy. I've just been taking it easy. I was having some pain in my back/ribs. I've found out that I cracked a rib, so I've just been taking things easy so that my rib heals. The doctor told me that I have another 4 weeks before it heals, and that was a week ago, so only 3 more to go.

Ouch! At least you get to relax. At the moment we're going a through record breaking heat wave here in SA. The previous record was 8 days above 35 but we've broken that. We're up to 10 days at the moment but if the forecast is correct we're going to hit 14 straight days above 35. (And over the long weekend 38 was the lowest temp forecast..and that's how it's looking for next weekend) I'm definitely thanking God for air conditioning!

I don't envy your temperatures. Been there, didn't like it. Tuesday to Sunday they are forecasting temperatures for us in the 30s. Not going to like that.

I'm so looking forward to the end of daylight savings in WA. They reckon next year's trial will end in February instead of the end of March. We'll see.

Hey everybody. How are you all doing? What have you all been up to?

We're supposed to have 30 and 31 degrees the next couple of days, but other than that, the days have been cooler. That's such a blessing. Having the occasional night temperature of 10 hasn't been bad either. I like the cooler temperatures far better than the really hot ones.

Hey everybody. It's really quiet in here.

What did you all do for ANZAC Day? Did any of you march? Go to a dawn service? I didn't, but I must admit that I did think of how my father and grandfather fought in WWI and WWII. They weren't ANZACS though, they were British.

Hi Trish!! Sorry you've been talking to yourself lately, I haven't been on here very much.

For ANZAC day I didn't go to a dawn service. I organised with my friends to go bowling... and that was fun (apart from Jesse being on call all weekend - he bowls pretty good while giving phone support)

For mothers' day we went to my aunty's house for a family lunch. 3/4 of mum's siblings were there (the 4th was sick unfortunately). It was funny watching the siblings interact with each other, I've never taken notice of it before.

Hope you had a good mothers' day Trish.

Hi Amy. Good to have some company.

Mother's Day was pretty quiet here. Went out for lunch on Monday instead of the Sunday as the Sundays are always so busy.

I hear Adelaide hasn't been getting much rain. (John and Joan had friends visiting on the weekend from Adelaide).

There's another Aussie from Perth in the introductions section if anybody wants to go and say hi.

We had some hail this morning and some nice big drops of rain, but not much quantity-wise. It's still quite dry around and the CFS & MFS are doing burn-offs now that the fire season is over, but it's looking a little greener than it has been.

I went and saw The Chaser's Variety Hour tonight with Jesse & my 2 bros. (My parents came too but they only bought tix this morning so they weren't sitting with us) It was HILARIOUS. I would recommend it but I'm not sure if they've already been to Perth or not.

Goodnight!!

Is that like the Chasers from off the ABC? I don't like them.

Thanks for going and saying hello to Rochelle in introductions, by the way, Amy.

Yeah, the guys from the TV show. They do have a specific audience. They are very crude, rude, insulting & satirical but I guess that humour appeals to me.
They are quite smart though in their acts...they did some very interesting studies on product placement and internet dating.

Hey Trish and AmyMelissa!

This weekend is a rare one for dh being home all weekend (he was out for only 3/4hr this morning working).

We had a houseful of 11-13yo girls in the house this morning. It seemed almost too quiet once they all went home.

I had two birthday parties yesterday ... and 18th for lunch & a 20th for dinner. And then I went to a friends house afterwards who was also having a party.

Today is much quieter...church this morning, nothing planned this arvo, then am playing at church tonight.

How's your weekend been?
